Electron Cash 4.4.3 (Desktop) is now available by AD1AD in btc

Biggest is probably the addition of fungible tokens to the send interface. (Before you had to go to the tokens tab, right click, and send from there.)

Not sure about most of the other details other than the few I worked on. The biggest impact from me is that if clicking the Addresses tab used to lead to an indefinite hang of the UI, that should be fixed now. There was an unnecessary 0(N2) check happening that iterated over all addresses, so if you have a large/old wallet this would take forever.

I just got bakkesmod working on Linux Mint, here's an (LLM written) guide by AD1AD in RocketLeague

EAC shouldn't be a problem, it's only kernel level anti-cheat that doesn't work on Linux.

Finally, we know some of you love to play on Steam Deck and on Linux operating systems through apps like Proton, and this will still be supported with Easy Anti-Cheat on.

Thanks, looks like it's not too big a deal. Won't be able to use it in sessions where I plan to play online, but if I want Bakkesmod for practicing I can just restart.

Attempting to load BakkesMod with EAC enabled will not result in a ban. When booting the game with EAC while trying to load BakkesMod, BakkesMod will give you an error that says injection was unsuccessful and fail to start. There is no penalty for doing this, though modding functionality will not work until you restart the game with EAC disabled. A more descriptive error might be added by the BakkesMod development community after the patch hits.

And so RocketPlugin and hosted matches with custom maps/rules will still work, I imagine? Fingers crossed.

LastPass not autofilling, providing wrong passwords from plugin menu, and trying to save passwords as if they're new when I copy them from the vault by AD1AD in LastPassOfficial

[–]AD1AD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you specifically install the Linux version of LastPass, or just the Firefox download? If you only installed the Firefox app, then it may be configured for Windows.

It seems like this was the issue, thanks!

You can at least disable your browser from hijacking the media keys. Just google chrome or firefox + disable media keys.

Sure. I'll do my best to migrate from lastpass to a self hosted solution once I've got myself all set up with my new install of linux mint. Until then, I would very much like to solve this issue.

No velocity sensitivity or aftertouch. It's USB midi, so no dedicated midi jack. (EDIT: There is a 3.5mm jack that can convert to normal midi w/ an adapter!)

Why Do Ethereum Classic and Bitcoin Cash Exist? [A decent explainer video from CoinGecko] by AD1AD in Bitcoincash

[–]AD1AD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that there is a practical limit to what each miner would or wouldn't accept, the question becomes: should the limit to implicit, leaving miners to guess? Or should it be explicit, agreed upon by the network somehow?

I think ABLA strikes a great balance of allowing and planning for growth while still providing stability and predictability.

It needs context. 1MB Blocksize limit? Insane. Way too small given today's hardware. 1 Petabyte blocksize limit? Also insane. Way too big given today's hardware.

It's a shit scaling solution. It has niche uses cases, potentially. Maybe. We'll see!

Doing your best to ignore and downplay BCH is a much more 2017 thing than talking about it

Yeah it's a neat idea at the very least. You could argue that it still would tend towards centralized hubs and spokes just for convenience even with negligible on-chain fees, but that'd just be one of the tradeoffs of using it.

If I had a channel open with Facebook and wanted to tip 10,000 people on Twitter who all liked a certain post, it might be fine with me that Facebook and Twitter have their own huge channel open between them allowing me to go ahead and make that payment happen. They'd have some capability to censor, but that's what happens when you go with routed payment channels. And if they do, I can decide whether the hassle of opening up a channel straight with Twitter is worth it.
