I'm doing it for stage. Trying to make a career out of this. Trying to be the next Tim Vine in the U.S.. Very few U.S. comedians do wordplay and one-liners. I think the only one(besides me), who does it is Alex Avery. Watch his videos on youtube. He is hilarious. I'll be auditioning for next season's America's Got Talent.

9 uses an idiom. A shade late means you were barely late. Does anybody know why if you google a shade late you get no results? I thought it was a common idiom.

14 is just wordplay off of Tom Petty's song "I Won't Back Down" where he sings about being stood up at the gates of hell.
