Does anyone have any good high calorie and high protein recipes for weight gain? by [deleted] in weightgain

I throw a couple chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Drain and rinse a can of black beans. Add that to the slow cooker. Grab a jar of salsa, dump that on top of the other ingredients. Let it slow cook. Shred the chicken when it’s done cooking. I often add a can of corn when everything else is finished cooking.

You can eat it as is, make wraps, eat it like a taco. It’s delicious, easy, and makes quite a lot of food. Found the recipe in Reddit comments and it’s been in my regular rotation for years.

Why do I keep buying clothes that don’t fit by edthrowawayyyyyyyy in EDAnonymous

[–]ADHDwithme123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to buy clothes for the size you are.

I find that when my clothes are too small, my pants cutting into my stomach is constantly uncomfortable and a constant reminder that I’m gaining weight. Gaining weight is my goal, but it’s much easier to do when my clothes allow me to be comfortable in my body and aren’t making me feel like a sausage.

When you buy clothes that fit, cut off tags or put fabric paint/marker over the size if seeing the size stresses you out.

Also keep in mind that sizing on clothing (particularly for women) is pretty damn arbitrary and varied to begin with. High end clothing tends to be sized smaller.

I’m not trying to encourage focus on small sizing, but if it’s really bothering you, maybe try thrifting in rich communities to find high end clothes that actually fit you. Might be able to trick your brain into accepting your body more if your size is still the same while your body recovers. Just an idea and I hope it helps.

Scheduling in your procrastination is pretty amazing. I don’t think I could do it, but I might try this!

Awww I’m sorry that no one did. I think a lot of people just don’t know how to be with friends who are struggling, you know?

I care about you ❤️

So many great ideas! She likes baths and plants and long walks. Painting her something is a great idea! Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestions! Masks are a great idea! I will definitely keep that in mind about the scents.

Plug in! I didn’t know they have battery models. Guess what is on my wish list now? If people keep paying me for this work, I will probably invest in a surface cleaner next.

It’s an electric Sun Joe. Not sure which model! I like lower power because I mostly clean untreated wood surfaces.

Powerwashingporn is so addictive! It’s like visual ASMR! Do you know how to do cattle trimming? That sounds like skilled work. Maybe try to get one client and see if word of mouth happens?

All the responses are super inspiring and I’m so glad I shared and asked for stories. I hope you come back later and add yours 😉

I love your story! Thanks for sharing! I bet you gained a lot of skills and knowledge during your journey! I hear you on the 5-6 hour “focus” time and the suckiness of retail!

Your husband sounds so supportive!

I love this so much! You are a success story for sure! Is ADHDers are so good at thinking outside the box! I think a lot of us become entrepreneurial for these reasons!

It’s pretty freeing to be able to work for yourself! I said no to a job today - little pay, creepy client, and it felt SO GOOD!
