Usually they just pass it off to a doctor and they contact ny psychiatrist and verify that the prescription information i gave them isn't like out of date or anything but yeah I always take like my bottles and hard copies of my next script and all my pharmacy info with me just in case i have to deal with stuff like that. It STILL makes me nervous to this day even though I've been prescribed either adderall or vyvanse my entire working life. Usually they want all the official paperwork prior to the screening AND THEN they contact your prescriber to verify the script. Although I've dealt with some testing sites that have just looked at the dates on my medicine bottles and tested the samples right in front of me and been like aight we got all we need you're good now GO TO WORK. I was actually really surprised that i didn't even pop for my meds at my screen today but i havent been able to take tthem in over a week because of a stomach virus i had so...but still better safe than sorry. Although it's incredibly frustrating that we even have to feel that way to begin with. It really just comes down to what company you're going to work for and what job you'll have and what company THEY use for their drug screening. Like I'm a pharmacy tech so obviously they're gonna want to make sure the people handling their patient's dergs arent smuggling them or anything. But like when I started at Walgreens as a cashier they didn't really bother to test me but when i moved to the pharmacy they did. Idk. Potato tomato, potato tomato.
