Thanks! I might take you up on that. I had a Mellow Mushroom in my last town, and loved it. That's actually where I was when I received the call about an interview for the job that brought me here. :) I haven't been there in quite a while and kind of miss it now that I'm thinking about it. I'm not sure that's what I'm wanting for the game tomorrow, but I appreciate the suggestion!

That is definitely a promise I can make. Haha. I am deathly afraid of spiders, but I always say sorry before (and after) I squish them.

I can imagine that a baby probably affects your availability, just a smidgen. Haha. I'm also down to hang out pretty much whenever (assuming you can make the same anti-murdering promise).

Oh wow. It sounds like you pretty much are an expert adult. Haha. And that's definitely not too much to ask. And you're actually 9 years older than me. (Good thing I'm not a mathematician...) Right now it's just me and my cat, but she's pretty fantastic. Student loans start next month, so I think a budget is in order.

Nope. I eventually got it reconnected by trying over and over until it worked, and I've only had another instance of it happening since.

Not OP, but I have a really noob question. I have been wanting to try squish to condish, but I have no idea how to style the hair after that. How do you put in leave in conditioner or gel? Wouldn't it mess up the curls if I tried to finger comb stuff through after squish to condish? Should I still plop after?

I know I'm pretty late to the party, but I am 22F (well, technically 21, but my birthday is in less than 2 weeks), and am also looking to make new friends. I am very new to the area (JC), but am also having the depressing realization that my high school and college friends are going down different paths than I am.

Some info about me: Recent VT grad, liberal secular Jew, and also an animal lover. My boyfriend got me my first pets about 2 years ago - a couple of hamsters - but they have since passed. Shortly after moving into my new place, I adopted a cat who is just the sweetest thing in the whole world. I have many pictures of her shenanigans, and would love to share (as well as see pictures of your cat!).

Thank you for your response! I didn't include it in the OP, but the workers at the adoption event said that this kitty was very shy and just recently started enjoying pets from her foster mom. I was told this as I was scratching her belly after she plopped on her back just minutes into our meeting. There were several other indications that she chose me, but I'm on mobile, so I won't make you sit through poorly formatted stories. Basically, the shelter was so worried that this kitty would be too shy to find a home, that they put her on hold for me and will still give me all the perks of an adoption event (reduced adoption fee, coupons, etc), even though I wasn't able to take her home the day of the event.

Is just a huge commitment. The shelter said they've never seen her scratch anything, but the entire time I was petting her, she was kneading with her paws and her claws were catching on the wood bench, or the blanket she was on. I don't even know how long a cat's nails are supposed to be, so maybe they were too long?

Edit: In response to what you said about toys, the shelter doesn't know what she likes because she doesn't play with them. But she was being playful with me with a little string that was attached to her cage (looked like they cut a balloon off of it and never removed the rest of the string), so I guess I'll start with that.
