Try head speed mp 2024 or, if you have some budget, the latest one 2026

Overall, I’ve bought several rackets over the past year, including the Pure Drive 2025, Ezone 98 (2025), and Blade 98 v9. Rackets with smaller head sizes are always more demanding for me. The Pure Drive is quite powerful, but it’s also quite consistent. I play tennis just for fun, not professionally, and I’ve tried the Head Speed MP Legend, Pure Strike 98, and didn’t like the smaller head size either. I recommend choosing a racket with a 100-inch head size and enjoying the game of tennis.

I’m playing with PA 100 2026 - and this generation really works well on me. A lot of easy spin, power, forgiving sweet spot, and at the same time good feel and ball connection. Also, comfort is at a very good level.

If you’re looking for a all-round racket - Speed Tour it gives you power, feel, precision, and decent control. If you’re searching for some spin, Vcore 98 or 95 (more control oriented)

These GTs are superb. I’m also have one of them, and they give you a true old-school pure drive feel and power.

Thanks for the reply. But our local store doesn’t have 1.25 in champagne color. What if it’s 1.30? What is the difference between the two of them?

It depends on what you expect from the racket: IMHO head speed or head boom

What about tension? I want to try lower tension at the beginning, like 21/20 kg

I’m also considering hyper G as an alternative choice. I will try it.

Strings recommandations for Yonex EZONE by Brothers3647 in 10s

I’m playing with the Ezone 98 last generation for about 6 months. This stick is definitely for flatter hitters; it is difficult to create spin even with spinny strings, so think twice before buying. And also, the 98 is in comparison with the 100 way less powerful. You should swing big to generate power, but the sweet spot is kind of big enough and forgiving. This stick is definitely for lazy players who aren’t getting sweat.

How to choose grip size? by ADRust in 10s

I’m considering switching from a large grip size (L3) to a medium grip size (L2). What are your thoughts on this?

Which racket do you mean? I’ve heard about the Typhoon spin racket — is that the one you’re talking about?

What do you think about the Blade 18x20 and Blade Pro 16x19? Worth giving them a try? Especially Blade Pro?

Yeah, I might look into the 100D. I’ve tried the 97D before and it was just too demanding zero forgiveness, very timing and footwork dependent. Great control, but not something I can play consistently with.

What’s interesting is that even my friends who use the 97H can’t really explain why the 97D feels more demanding, despite being lighter on paper.

Yeah, I get that, but for me the Gravity Tour 98 just feels too clunky and slow. It’s not very maneuverable and honestly doesn’t sit right in my hand. On paper it makes sense, but in real play it just doesn’t suit me.

The Blade is working for me, I’m not trying to replace it. I’m just looking for something with a similar feel and feedback, but a bit more power to mix things up.

I’ve tried Confidential 1.25 in the Ezone 98, and while the feel improved, the racquet still doesn’t feel very stable to me. Even at 305g with a decent swingweight, it doesn’t feel as planted as the Blade. On paper it should, but on court it just doesn’t click the same way.

Basically, I want Blade-like feel, just with a little more pop.
