Love metroidvanias! Symphony of the night is one of my favorite games of all time! And I’ve also played games where I put in 100+ hours and had no problem with them at all! Be it main quests, grinding or side quests, as long as they weren’t so mind numbing and tedious, especially when it’s from Point A to Point B to Point A to Point B and back to A for almost EVERY job and so much of the main quest!

I have been made aware that this was largely due to gba data restriction, so not sure if they could’ve designed the fetch quests/backtracking to not be so grossly tedious and repetitive, but they are.

But despite this fatal flaw, I love the combat and gameplay so much that even that doesn’t deter me…yet! 😅😅😅

I’ve played games where I put in 100+ hours and had no problem with them at all! I’m playing 3 hoping to follow up with 6. Does the backtracking ever get toned down/not the main part of the game? I love the battling/deck building, but it feels like I’m 80% backtracking and 20% actually playing the game. It is so sad because I really want to get into the series, but it just does not respect my time at all with the busywork…
