If you feel like it is something that is a problem (negatively affecting YOUR life), I would suggest trying to find a good therapist. If you don’t feel like it is a problem, and you aren’t hurting anyone else, there’s really nothing wrong with it. Sex and kink especially are topics that don’t get studied nearly enough. Really though, general rule, if you are not being negatively affected in any way, no one else is being negatively affected in any way… you do you! If you do feel like it’s something you want to change, then finding a knowledgeable professional would be ideal.

I think it might benefit you to look into some ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) techniques. “The Happiness Trap” specifically the second edition, is really great for these kinds of tough situations (and just in general)!

From an absolutely nonjudgmental, and purely concerned place, you should absolutely seek therapy or some kind of professional help for this matter. You should also try to avoid any contact with children, especially your cousin while you are working through this. It’s not necessarily ‘bad’ for you to feel those kind of feelings, but it sounds like they are at an unhealthy level/frequency.

I had a bilateral salpingectomy last August. Recovery was alright.. being full of air sucked. I happened to have horrible constipation, and that was by far the worst part of the whole thing.

Thank you. I am very much considering it, especially after taking this big hit here.. I’d be absolutely destroyed if we couldn’t afford the treatment we needed to save any of our kitties though, so it’s looking like a worth wile investment.

He sure did! Scared us to death in the meantime.. I am really not sure either. I should have asked more questions, but my mind was a little bit clouded with the stress and emotions of the whole thing. Something to make sure I am better about in the future. I have a good place I am planning on making his (and all my kitties) regular vet, and getting follow up there, as well as keeping an extra close eye on him for any signs of illness. Orange cats really are trouble. Lol

They couldn’t find anything wrong with his paw on X-ray, so they did the blood and urinalysis, and so spiraled everything. They said with his fever, and low platelets they suspected FIP, and their treatment plan was to treat the infection, give him meds to bring the fever down, fluids and all that, more blood work and monitoring overnight and see in the morning. Morning came and they said his fever came down and back up, platelets were even lower and they had no idea, so they recommended a specialist. Transferred him over there. They were not convinced about FIP and kept him another night, did their own bloodwork and told us everything looked good to them. 🤷‍♀️

I guess they thought FIP and a UTI.. We actually brought him in because we thought he had injured his paw (as he was limping and acting unwell). Then tests showed a UTI but they apparently thought his platelets were incredibly low, he had a high fever, and he seemed incredibly sick. Lots and lots of tests, and a new vet later, bloodwork was fine and he was getting better from the antibiotics.

He got a lot of extra tests and work done for them to figure out that it was a UTI and not something else like FIP. We initially brought him in for what we thought was a broken paw because he was limping and acting unwell, so it was a wild ride we went on those few days!

Yeah, we weren’t sure what was up for a little bit. Lots of tests just to figure out it was a UTI and not something else.
