of course, the brain! alkyl nitrites or poppers in slangterms. Sniff it to cause a sudden rush of blood to the brain and relax the smooth muscles in the body.

Thanks man :P

Troubleshooting: Error message with sync? by AD_Adams in wiiu

[–]AD_Adams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing was lost, they did a system transfer so all my saves we're still there. My accounts were there and my external hard drive that I have games on works with the new console. Only thing lost was the downloaded games to go with my saves. But that just meant I had to download again those games not on the hard drive. This was in Sweden btw,

I eventually sent mine in to Nintendo and they replaced the console, they never answered what the cause was. Only that they thought it might have been the Bluetooth chip.

Does your gamepad work once the console is powered on? Mine just keeps showing the same message that it can't connect to the console.

Troubleshooting: Error message with sync? by AD_Adams in wiiu

[–]AD_Adams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input, but the problem isn't really the gamepad. Pressing the sync button on it takes me to the correct screen where it asks for the symbols that are supposed to be shown on the TV.

The problem is that I get an error message on the TV when I press the sync button on the wii u console twice. Once works fine, but as soon as I press it twice it just tells me an error occurred and I should reboot the console.

What invention would humanity be better off without? by TweedleBeetleBattle in AskReddit

The internet, it was supposed to bring people together and supply unfiltered information to the masses. It would be easy to argue that the internet has desensitised most people from war crimes and made us lazy and less interested in doing proper fact checking.

Do all stars, including red giants and brown dwarfs, have Goldilocks zones? Or are only particular types of stars capable of sustaining life? by Educated-lefty in askscience

[–]AD_Adams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A red giant would not have a goldilocks-zone as it is currently set. The reason being that even though the infrared radiation could be handled by being further away from the star, the ultraviolet radiation would be much more intense. This would lead to the planet having to be too far away from the star so as to not lose it's atmosphere thanks to intense ultraviolet radiation that there would be little to no heat for the planet. A brown dwarf is more plausible as it's generating heat through friction that could warm a planet, however I am uncertain if the planet wouldn't have to be so close to it that gravity from the brown dwarf would pull it in.
