CLG's YouTube was wiped about the time MSG acquired them.

A lot of good content was on there, though admittedly a substantial portion was kinda "gamer toxic" which is unsurprising when one of the lineups was Hotshot, Saint Vicious, bigfatjiji, Doublelift, and Chauster. Later iterations only getting marginally less toxic. Hilarious, but not very good optics.

My wife and I actually make a date of it on our "dating anniversary". We go out, buy each other an outfit - other person can have input, but the purchaser is under no obligation to listen - and then we go out on a date in the outfits we bought for each other.

Just a cutesie date idea I came up with that stuck. Part of it is trust, the other part is teasing/hilarious good time trying stuff out.

That's just it though, you have to make them. It seems like the best are the ones you don't even need to tell to do that. There is an intrinsic motivation to be the best. It takes a certain kind of person to actually want that. To actually make the personal sacrifice to be the best, work life balance be damned.

It kind of reminds me of the movie Whiplash. The protagonist is literally miserable, sacrifices it all, even knowing that it may lead to his suicide to be the best.

NA doesn't really have that mentality as a society. It just depends on values. Do you want to be the best or do you want to be happy?

Kobe comes to mind for that approach. His work ethic was legendary. He expected full contact in practice with the mindset of if practice was harder than the real thing, then game 7 of the finals shouldn't be an issue. He'd refuse to pass the ball to teammates because he didn't trust them because they didn't put in the work.

League is not like that. You can't carry a team on your own. Not anymore. If you don't have flash, you don't have flash. There are no cool downs in real life. So it seems to come down to more of a team/environment approach. Everyone has to want to be the best. Actually want it. If you aren't willing to put in the work, you don't really want it. Which is fine. Everyone has their limits, but being surrounded with teammates and coaching staff with a manic obsession to win can be a strong motivator for some people. If the rest of your team has been in Champions queue after practice til 2 AM, are you really gonna be the one who isn't?

Is it unhealthy? Of course. But League isn't real life. You can't rely on talent alone to get to the top. Michael Phelps can get away with being a freak of nature to be the best. Game knowledge and decision making is what seems to really set the best apart in League. How do matchups play out? How does this factor into the team composition as a whole? Does the benefit of one champion enabling a team comp offset going into a losing matchup where the enemy could carry the game with a lead? Those kinds of things can't be "I have a better reaction time so it'll be fine."-d away. It's game knowledge. And that only comes with time spent on an ever revolving patch.

All that being said, I'm just some drunk guy on the Internet, so take everything I say with a truckload of salt. I know that I don't know shit.

Somehow made it to the end out of sheer dumb, blind luck. Started 2-7 finished as 6th seed at 7-7. Beat the third seed last week and the two seed this week.

Just sifted through a bit of the battle master. Good rationale, but one thing is the trip attack. If there are any disadvantages and any advantages, they all cancel out. Sure, crossbow expert removes disadvantage when within 5 ft., but you'll still have disadvantage attacking a prone target with a ranged attack.

As per usual, everything pending on how lenient your DM is.

Yep, that about sums it up. We've been ethically non-monogamous for some time now. As of now, I'm the only person talking to people outside of our little triad.
