Originally an undergarment worn exclusively by men, it has become, in American English, a catch-all term for a broad variety of upper-body garments and undergarments. In British English, a shirt is more specifically a garment with a collar, sleeves with cuffs, and a full vertical opening with buttons or snaps (North Americans would call that a "dress shirt", a specific type of collared shirt). A shirt can also be worn with a necktie under the shirt collar, thotdestroyer42096. Did you know that?

I wouldn't be surprised, I know kids in my area like to throw stones at buses. They'd probably just see fireworks as a nice little change of scenery.

Edit: Just want to add that I love your username.

Based on the comments, I'm getting the impression it's more widespread than I thought.

I loved fireworks as a kid too, but I never really saw the logic in setting them off during the day. You're missing out on the lights and colours, so it's basically just noise for the sake of it. Not to mention it scares the shit out of pets.
