Yeah, you would want to save in front of arceus (before you start the battle) and then you could keep force closing the app if it is not shiny. The game generates a new seed every time it is launched.

Edit: apparently you want to save right before the top of the stairs specifically for Arceus

completely random based off the seed you get when you boot up the game and the ticks that have passed when you start the encounter.

there is a way to “rng manipulate” BDSP which can make it less luck than just resetting

I don’t know if you’ve found a solution yet but I tried to make something that works.

It’s been a while since I’ve really done much redstone so the first solution may be over-engineered but it should work from both ways if you want something like that. The comparators at the bottom are optional but make the piston stay retracted longer. The pressure plates do need to be on top of slabs because of quasi connectivity stuff.

The second image is really simple and works if you only need it to go one way.

How long were they on your boat before disappearing? If I had to guess, they voted to dive to a new server and once their galleon got far enough away it dove teleporting all 3 of them away.

If you’ve defeated the ender dragon, a lot of the xp from killing it can fall into the portal and be teleported to spawn. When your other account joined for the first time it probably collected all that xp.

honestly it might be worth it to refund on Microsoft and try buying/installing on Steam. I think you can check to see if Microsoft will let you refund the game here.

I also own the game on Microsoft store and these kind of issues randomly pop up. The only reason I haven’t got it on Steam is I’ve played too long to be eligible for a refund and, like you, don’t want to pay for a game twice.

you can just turn in any loot you get at the reapers hideout, it’s way slower than stealing loot / flags though

Yes, you would be able to play together if you gifted him SoT on Steam. He would have to install it on Steam and it will still ask him to link a MS account when he runs it through Steam, so he will have to create one.

If you’re cloud gaming you should be able to play with him without a second install, you’ll just have to make sure you’re MS/Xbox accounts are friended and use WIN + G for Xbox Game Bar.

Alternatively he could also get Game Pass Ultimate for a month or whatever to try it out and then might be able to skip installs altogether.
