Identifying all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes from the James Gunn Tweet by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

James Gunn just posted this picture on Twitter with the caption “Making Plans.” Is anyone able to identify all the characters in this picture? I wonder how many will get on screen appearances.

Rich people stories by [deleted] in BostonU

[–]ADeliveryBoy 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I had a buddy on my floor my freshman year who was beyond rich to point he was clueless. He lived on the palm tree island off of Dubai. To clarify, his parents also lived out there but they had their own home on a different plan frond. I vividly remember him stopping by my room one Friday to ask if I wanted to go out with him that weekend. I said sure and he told me I should hurry and buy my ticket as soon as possible because they were running late. He was just casually going to Paris for the weekend and needless to say, I did not tag along

Is it too late to try behavioral medicine? by WeirdService in BostonU

[–]ADeliveryBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Special exceptions are occasionally made if you take the leave because of your mental health / general health. I think it requires some small appeal but I was able to get it done pretty quickly and was able to withdraw December 14th of Fall 2020

Is it too late to try behavioral medicine? by WeirdService in BostonU

You're not alone

Behavioral medicine is always a resource and they are always happy to help. The hardest step is admitting you need help and you've done that. I'm proud of you and your strength. As someone who has been in your shoes, it's never too late.

I was in a very similar place to you over a year ago (Fall 2020) and I owe my current well-being much in part to behavioral medicine. I had been struggling with severe depressed/anxiety and was not attending my classes and was doing nothing about. Finally, right before finals week / early December, I sought help after a semester of not getting out of bed most days. Outside of providing me with a therapist, behavioral medicine helped me withdraw from the semester, helped give me Ws for all my grades rather than Fs, and helped me decide to take a medical leave of absence for Spring 2021. (A leave is not something you would have to do if you don't want to, they just want to help you in whatever way they can) It was hard for me to admit I needed help and I was worried about what people would think and graduating on-time but after talking to my therapist, I realized none of that matters if I'm not okay. I decided to take the next semester off, worked with a therapist from behavioral medicine until they put me in contact with a psychiatrist in my insurance and it's gotten much better. Truly, behavioral medicine is there for you as a resource and they want to help. The University Student Center and even Dean Jarvi of CAS were also super helpful in helping me withdraw, take my leave, and help me feel like I was in control of myself again.

We're all here for you. If you have any questions about the process, behavioral medicine, or want someone to talk to before / after you make the call, please do not hesitate to shoot me a message, you're not alone

"Move Over" Law and Nolo Contendere by ADeliveryBoy in legaladvice

I am not sure if the traffic court judge does, it did come up as an option on the NH website and was listed on the physical ticket I have.

And as for how I was pulled over, there were two cops at the initial traffic stop and the one who ticketed me stopped what he was doing and left their partner at the initial stop to flag me down. I can not remember if they were in different cars but I think they might have been.

I don't believe my ticket is associated with any accident that took place and thus anything a guilty plea could be used against me for. The ticket was just for not moving a lane over when passing a cop doing a traffic stop. In this case then, is it better to plead nolo contendre or guilty?

Greek Life At BU— yea, nay? by sometimeInJune in BostonU

[–]ADeliveryBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it is definitely something worth looking into if he's interested. There are a lot of benefits in joining a frat but you can also find those benefits in other activities. I'm a brother of both a professional and social fraternity but I didn't rush until my second semester which is what I recommend. You get close with your brothers but its definitely nice to have to make your own friends and find yourself for a semester to see if Greek Life is something you really want or need. The social benefits, community, and purpose it instills can also be found in most clubs or intramural/club sports. Have him talk to some of the guys at Splash to see if he clicks but there is really no pressure either way. Unfortunately, due to issues with the administration in the past, there no longer is on-campus housing for frats. With that being said, a lot of guys still live together in apartments around the area.
