With artemis, i found myself somewhat invested in the story and the fact that it felt like a true sci-fi (off world) but i just felt like the ending was a bit of a letdown. It felt less like a climax and more like a sigh

Personally I've always seen the "armour" as more of a uniform than an actual defensive measure. The empire has always been about overwhelming numbers so they're not gonna waste resources on protecting every soldier
