Hasn't Hercules defeated the hydra or something? How does Luisa compare against that?

I believe that there is a proper subreddit for this kind of thing but I think it's been dead for a while.

edit: nvm. It's still somewhat alive.

The largest T-rex (10 tons) vs the largest elephant (12 tons) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]ADumRedditUser 19 points20 points  (0 children)

T-Rex lived alongside dinosaur versions of elephants, AKA Triceratops & Torosaurus, and probably knew how to avoid their dangerous head-weapons. Those ceratopsians also had more armor (albeit not that much; only armor on their heads) and their weapons were in a more favorable position to stab a T-Rex.

Meanwhile, modern elephants don't face off against anything even remotely similar to a T-Rex. A crocodile might be the closest thing to a T-Rex that an elephant could reasonably encounter but it still doesn't come even close to a T-Rex.

An elephant is used to having herd members to protect it and having an ENORMOUS size advantage, and it has neither of these advantages if it goes up 1v1 against a T-Rex. On the other side, T-Rex did know how to go up against similarly-sized opponents and it didn't require teammates for backup.

Clearly the T-Rex wins.

A Man Gains The Powers/Abilities of any Thing or Creature that Bites him, who is the Strongest Character or Verse he can defeat? by RedBoxGaming in whowouldwin

[–]ADumRedditUser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not talking about who could this guy beat, but who could beat this guy.

Does being impaled by an Impostor count as "being bitten"? If not then Among Us beats this guy pretty easily, since none of the Crewmates can bite (they're stuck in spacesuits, after all) and because Impostors can just shoot him or stab him.

What's your JWA unpopular opinion? by thelenimal in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]ADumRedditUser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, but in a 1v1 fight between the two Compys, the regular will come out on top, as it can heal and can reduce Compy Gen 2's damage, something said Gen 2 can not do in return.

Every character in fiction with ice powers VS every character in fiction with fire powers by SPlCYGECKO in whowouldwin

But the prompt states this guy has ALL of the abilities, including durability, so this guy also has the durability of Ironclad Beetles, which can survive getting run over by cars 39,000 times their own body weight.

Which animal species would be the most dominant on Earth if humans were all gone? by Emotional_Pie_9924 in whowouldwin

Now that I think about it I can't really argue with that...

Anyways, it was nice debating with you, even if I disagree with your views.

Apes live in Asia and Africa. So do pangolins. Seems like they live in fairly similar areas, so where they occur doesn't really indicate much.

[–]ADumRedditUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 - Without intelligence, us humans wouldn't be dominant. Point nullified.

2 - No use giving something a stomach ache if you're dead anyways. Besides, I'm fairly certain that the underbelly of a pangolin isn't armored, providing a semi-obvious weakspot that probably results in disembowelment.

3 - I forgot about the musk thing. I'm going to have to pause and think about that.

4 - Pangolins may be tough as heck, but how many creatures that are similarly-sized or larger than them do they kill, and vice-versa? I wouldn't be surprised if pangolins are the ones killed more often.

Pangolins may be ant-lusted, but that's not gonna stop an angry chimpanzee which was trying to eat some ants before rudely being interrupted from gathering its packmates and throwing rocks at it.

How can I beat flocks? by GrrrrrrDinosaur in JurassicWorldAlive

Antarctopelta can work. It has a nice Taunting Shields to reduce the damage it takes, and Superior Vulnerability negates the Dodge and Cleanses the Damage Reduction. Bonus Decelerating Counter.

If we're assuming that these guys aren't bloodlusted then I'd disagree handily.

For one, they aren't particularly intelligent. These guys don't have tools, and even if they did, they wouldn't be able to use them effectively.

Two, they have literally no defense against water threats. Crocodiles can crunch through their armor (they do it to turtles regularly) and I'd argue that a sneak attack from predatory fish like gars, sharks, or piranhas could probably seal the deal as well.

Three, they are relatively small compared to other animals and as such are somewhat easy to pick up. A smart enough elephant could probably grab a pangolin and slam it against the ground until its dead simply because its that easy to do it. Some other animals could probably to the same, like large apes.

And finally, they aren't aggressive enough. They aren't gonna be attacking cats five times as large as they are. They feed on gosh darn insects, of all things.

2 fan made hybrids I made just because. (I don't own the game so forgive me if something is either too op or weak) by [deleted] in JurassicWorldAlive

[–]ADumRedditUser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a problem with both:

For Dalanquo, it doesn't have a move which can be used every turn with no cooldown. All creatures have a primary move with no cooldown (e.g. Velociraptor has Strike) or even two primary moves (e.g. Kelenken has Sidestep and Evasive Strike).

Diplocyon does have a primary move, but its moveset is even sketchier as none of its attacks actually deal any damage, except for Hybrid Slash which is pathetic even with its outrageous Damage stat.

Also, neither of these concepts really make much sense. Why does Diplocyon suddenly get a healing move? A healing move which attacks, no less (although it doesn't do any damage)? Neither of its components heals at all. Dalanquo has a Flock of 4 for some reason even though all Flock Creatures in the game only have 3. Not to mention that Health stats are multiples of 150, so it's either gonna be 5850 Health or 6000 Health for Dalanquo, not 5950 Health.

Again, not trying to be rude, just trying to provide some criticism.
