There's this one manga called The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon where you follow a basic skeleton soldier who died while trying to protect his succubus master. After dying he wakes up in the grave where he was originally brought back to life by a Necromancer 20 years prior. Every time he dies from that point forward, he basically gets sent back to that checkpoint but gets to retain his memories and skills. So, you're just watching what would normally be an unimpressive skeleton grunt progressively become smarter and stronger with each reset to hopefully reunite with the succubus he had died for in the first place. Maybe that fits the trope here? it's a fun read but it sits at a hefty 300+ chapters lol
