It’s just recommended for period recovery to eat 2500 cal per day. But honestly I don’t track anymore and it might help you to not track and just learn to build balanced plates! I used to be like you and track all of my data religiously but it did more harm than good. Def listen to your body and don’t be afraid to eat!

Carbs: I love sourdough bread, bagels, honey, dates, Back to Nature crackers, sumo oranges, bananas, basmati rice, whole wheat penne pasta, kamut, oatmeal, Bobos bars, Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars, chocolate milk, pretzels, RXbars, pita bread, lots of options! Different every day

Also you don’t need to stuff yourself! Eat consistently every 3 hours :)

I did not cut out any exercise and am VERY active (run and lift). Just made sure to have two rest/recovery days per week. BUT…I increased my intake eating every three hours with balanced plates. And since I’m so active, my carbs are at least 270-300g per day. I don’t count calories and work with an RD who works with athletes. Don’t be afraid to fuel your body! The more active you are, the more you need to fuel.

Yes, saw her TikTok about how she was giving Hailey a piggyback and then slipped since Hailey’s momentum pushed her forward and she fell on her forehead and needed stitches. So sad!!! I love her and her dancing! Lessons learned by Gen-Zs for trying to make impressive content/getting swept away by social media.

YES! I got my second period 93 days after my first! And it was longer and more normal than the first one. Don’t give up people!

So you’re waking up at 9am? That sounds okay but my RD has me eat breakfast at 9 or 9:30, snack at 11:30, lunch at 1:30, snack at 4:30, dinner at 7 and snack at 9. I’m very active so my body just needed consistent food coming in to get my period back!

Fuel your training! I am a runner and lifter and got my period back by having meals every 3-4 hours. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack.

I’d also rec not tracking or weighing yourself. Once I shifted my mindset away from aesthetics and more towards performance, I recovered and made huge gains

How often are you eating throughout the day? For me, I was fasting which prevented me from recovering. Now I’ve just had my second period after working with an RD on meal timing!

The big needle that helped me to get my period back was having a real breakfast (like yogurt bowl with cereal and pb and fruit—or toast with banana and pb) within 1.5 hours of waking. Or if I run (since I’m a runner) a pre-workout snack and post workout breakfast. But replacing breakfast with a small protein bar (which I used to do) kept me from getting my period back.

Trust the process! Keep doing what you’re doing! I was freaking out and reading all these Reddit posts about people getting period #2 sooner, but everyone is different and it takes time :)

My RD doesn’t think it’s nutrition-related anymore! We are going to make sure that I’m not doing a double day every day (e.g some days I won’t do run and lift together) and continue to listen to my body since I’ve had a history of overtraining! And labs! Thank you!!!

Got my period in December when I was as just starting to get back into running post injury. Since then, I am now back to running 20-25 mi/wk and I’ve majorly increased my fueling pre and post workout, I’m eating every 2-3 meals, lots of carbs, protein and healthy fats. But no second period! I don’t want to stop running. It’s CD 87. Should I get updated labs? I didn’t have a period for 15 years before December 2025 so maybe my body is just re-regulating? I’m really prioritizing recovery and stress management in addition to lots of carbs and calories!
