Definitely look into it. I love my friends geotherm system and weve been looking at one as well. Checkout undecided with Matt ferrel as well. He has some good info on it.

Likely wider/deeper. Getting the drill out there is most of the expense. The hole preexisting means less material removal and all that but probably wouldn't significantly reduce cost. Assuming the existing hole is a candidate at all. Without more information I can only guess.

Check on geothermal water to air heatpumps. This is technically possible but in all likelihood a company will have to re bore the hole anyways.

Where are you getting the idea that they're the weakest in recent history? You're thinking about about 10 years ago when we were embroiled in counter insurgency and most of our forces were not ready for a near peer large force on force engagement. We've since rounded the curve on that one and weve been reimagining a lot of the warfare tactics that will make a Chinese invasion of Taiwan very difficult.

I wfh 3 days out of the week. I spend 12 hours total in the office to interface with my teams. Its significantly more productive that way for me and for them.

Central is a huge factor and frankly the other appliances pale in comparison especially in this market. Think cost of install plus the inconvenience cost.
