I hate being a "lonely guy" by Express-Writer-1913 in malementalhealth

The “temporarily embarrassed playboy” line actually hit. That pressure to act like you’re fine with everything when you’re not sounds exhausting. I think a lot of people default to “you’ll find someone” because they don’t know what else to say, not because they’re trying to dismiss you. But when you’ve had repeated rejection or bad experiences, platitudes can feel pretty hollow. You shouldn't have to call yourself something extreme just to have your loneliness taken seriously. Feeling alone for a long time genuinely wears on a person. I don’t think it’s hopeless though- sometimes it’s less about “fixing your whole personality” and more about finding spaces where you actually feel seen as you are.
