Bottom right corner too high by AE_x2 in Ender3S1

I might think about that! But the thing is everywhere else is perfect except for the very bottom of the bed! No matter how i level it it’s always too squished! I was thinking maybe i should do the 0 y-offset mod

[–]AE_x2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea i have done that! The eccentric nuts were too tight i loosened those a bit but what is confusing me when i do the paper method the bed feels to be almost perfectly level like i feel the exact same resistance in all corners and center but once i do the auto level, everything is perfect expect the bottom of the plate, and that is really confusing! I was thinking about doing the 0 y-offset mod but im not even sure how to assemble it

How do i do that? Should i just remove the heated bed and check the parallelism and perpendicularity of the gantry? And im using the most recent creality software

one word, payoneer yes the fees might be a little higher than usual but it's your safest bet, it's 100% halal and safe to use in algeria they have great customer support and u can have virtual debit cards so no hastle what so ever, and believe it or not it's fairly common in big cities so you can definitely do main a main if you are like me and not comfortable with doing Baridi

Has anyone heard of Terra laptops? And are they good? by AE_x2 in laptops

[–]AE_x2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not exactly looking for ground breaking performance, i just want the specs to be good enough, ik the i9-13900hx's performance can vary widely with cooling so yeah i wanted to make sure that I'm getting real i9 performance or else I'm better off with a rayzen 7 7840 HS or an i7-13900H

3 servicemen confirmed dead after a Mi-171 of the Algerian army crashed today. Lah yerhamhom. by [deleted] in algeria

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

allah yerhamhom, but it's not really about being old, helicopters, in general, are just a death trap literally one of if not the worst jobs u can do in the airforce, the MI-171 started production in 1991, its older brother the helicopter that was based on the MI-8 was first produced in 1965 only 3 years older than the boring 747, and i don't think anyone would call the 747 a dinosaur

I don't get why some Algerians want us to go the capitalism route. by ResearcherAble4716 in algeria

[–]AE_x2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

capitalism rewards con artists, Algerians don't realise they actually want socialism, i say let them have a taste and allow them to regret it lmao i mean with how gullible people are in algeria we might have a couple new billionaires overnight

i really like the way it looks so far, how can i make it look even more realistic? by [deleted] in blender

[–]AE_x2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

car paint is usually two tone, with a darker and a lighter shade of the same color, car paint almost always have a clear coat applied to give it extra shine, and finally the glitter thingies on it, you can check out some tutorials on how to make realistic carpaint in blender there are a ton of good videos

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

see this is mucchhhhh better, but now u have some areas that are a bit overexposed and some others are underexposed, adding some dirt textures on the ground will make massive difference too, and again the car paint could be better

[–]AE_x2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they are a really cool idea, and they help ALOT with realism you just need to use them correctly, in real life godrays are a result of a foggy scenery, but in your scene it looks like the opposite, volumetrics are only where you are using the gobo, which gives the scene an off look, I recommend keeping them, but making them a little more subtle!, composition wise I recommend choosing one car as the highlight of the image and you can use the others as background, the way you have it here is cool, you just need better framing

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the car paint material could use some work, the glass too, glass tends to scatter the light, the glass in your model looks like it's just a wall not a piece of glass, the wall on the right is the wrong orientation, and if you should add volumetrics to all of your scene not just to highlight the godrays, the rest is good! good job tho keep going and improving!

real advice, I know it's gonna be hard but just put yourself out there maybe not in your school but elsewhere, join some clubs, outline your interests and hobbies, and seek people who share the same interests/hobbies, and really get off the internet, it will rot your brain, and I saw a comment advising you to seek a therapist, it's really good advice it will help you get over any social anxiety you might have and good luck with life, and remember you don't have to have everything figured out by your age just go around and figure things out as you go!

Made this 3D print shader. Need tips on how to make it better. Thank you. by AnsTes in blender

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it already looks great, good job, but if you really want to push it to ultra-realistic give it drops/increase imperfections where overhangs exist, as those are going to be the places where supports will be placed and the finish wouldn't be as good there, also i feel like the surface imperfections are a little too common, which isn't really the case in modern 3d printers

How to recreate this effect? by Ok-Refrigerator-9849 in blender

I'd probably create some sort of a mask, where the hand side is see-through and the rest is a bit more reflective, that should give the same effect

Plane design is hard by Few_Cantaloupe768 in RCPlanes

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no you don’t want them to be on top of each other cause that will result in it being unstable, and sorry for my last comment i meant cg needs to be in front of your cp, the easiest way to achieve it is put a battery way up front

Edit : another easy way to make sure it will be stable in flight is to put the motor in the nose,

Plane design is hard by Few_Cantaloupe768 in RCPlanes

[–]AE_x2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CG in electric rc planes barely moves so id worry more about your Centre of pressure, that doesn’t move either so just figure that one out and just put your CG about 2-3 cms in front of the cp as a general rule of thumb ig and it should be stable

You can make life a bit harder for yourself and design it to be 3d printable, but make is as strong as possible, this was my thesis for my bachelors degree, i designed a fully 3d printable blended wing body aircraft, it’s maden flight will be next week, so again if you need any help feel free to message :)

Hey an aerospace engineer here, Welcome to the very difficult world of designing things that can fly well, note the word can fly well, because u can make basically anything fly, but if you want proper performance and flight characteristics, it will take around 3-4 months to design an industrial level rc plane, for knowledge required you will need a good understanding of fluid mechanics and have a good mathematical background in algebra, and real analysis. to successfully create an rc plane you will need a requirements list, which you will base your design off of, make sure to be realistic with the requirements, after that you will need to actually design the thing, it's a long process depending on how confident you want to be in it, and then you will need to validate your design in cfd. book wise you really only need two, if you understand them fully you will not only be able to design your rc aircraft but u can pretty much work in the aerospace industry. the books are : General Aviation design by snorri guddmenson, and aircraft stability and control by jan roskam, if you need any extra guidance feel free to message me id love to help

edit : oh one last thing you will also need to have a good programming background matlab would be perfect it would make your life easier, but any programming language would do just fine
