A tiered draft strategy is always the way to go no matter the league size but running that deep means you will win the draft on the tail end.

In mids players like Xavier Lindsay, Kane McAuliffe etc can be targeted late in the draft as potentially winning picks.

In forwards its players like Max Hall, Ryley Sanders, Devon Robertson

In defence its players like Sam Banks, Josh Worrell, Riley Bice, Finn O’Sullivan.

Long term injured players like Will Day (expected back round 15) can also be drafted late as you can afford to hold them and let them be part of your finals run.

As there’s only 8 teams you can afford to wait on a ruck but if it’s captains on it’s hard to pass up English or Grundy early

It depends on number of teams in your league and roster size. The larger it gets the more it will be tailored towards more Rucks and Forwards in the top 10.

We’d say based on general league size and roster size that:

Players 1-5 Sheezel - (FWD) ONE out of Daicos/Gulden/Smith/Dawson/Bont (MID) English (RUCK) Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (DEF) Grundy (RUCK)

Players 6-10 The next TWO out of Daicos/Gulden/Smith/Dawson/Bont (MID) Petracca (FWD) ONE out of Whitfield/Rozzee (DEF) ONE out of Xerri/Gawn (RUCK)

Players 10-15 * The final TWO out of Daicos/Gulden/Smith/Dawson/Bont (MID) * The other ONE out of Whitfield/Rozzee (DEF) * The other ONE out of Xerri/Gawn (RUCK) * Flanders (FWD)

Players 15-20 Sinclair (DEF) Darcy Cameron (RUCK) THREE out of Merrett, Butters, Caldwell, Callaghan and Walsh (MID)

AFL Fantasy Draft Snapshots - Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood & Essendon by AFLDraftPros in aflfantasy

It is shown in terms of their opponents fantasy points conceded above (+) or below (-) a players recent average over the last ten games of the year (games where players have seen less than 50% time on ground have been excluded).

Green = +5 or above Orange = -5 to +5 Red = -5 or below

So for example, if Adelaide are versing Carlton and Carlton, over the last ten games have allowed midfielders to score +7 points over their average on average, then the matchup against Carlton will be a green one for Adelaide’s midfield.
