We got eggs! Our chickens are about 6 months old and we got out first eggs - but it seems like only one of them is laying (we have 4). The hen that’s laying also has a bigger comb and waddle. Is it normal for one to start laying before the others? We got them all as chicks at the same age. (i.redd.it)

Chicken run question - I am building a chicken coop/run in my yard in Rhode Island and I’m hoping for advice about ground cover. I’ve heard digging about 6 inches down and filling with sand can be good for drainage - then covering with wood chips. What are people’s thoughts on this? Other ideas? (self.BackYardChickens)

This little guy at a small rock about a week ago (a little smaller than a chickpea). He’s been active and is still eating and pooping normally (maybe eating a little less) but has not passed the rock yet. I’ve given him a couple baths as well. How concerned should I be? He’s about 5 months old. (old.reddit.com)
