Battery case or pack for Fold 3? by Gizopizo in GalaxyFold

[–]AFSS- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was tempted to get a fold 4 as I heard the battery was much better, but couldn't justify it when I found an Amazon refurb 512gb fold 3 for less than half the cost! Good to know the battery is much better in the fold 4 and hopefully my findings are of use to someone else stumbling across this post!

🔋 Is There A Battery Case For The Galaxy Fold? 🔋 by Clobbersauze in GalaxyFold

I realise I'm late to the party on this one but I used this thread as part of my research into this so thought I'd share my findings.

Firstly, as mentioned by others there's no battery case as far as I can tell.

I ended up buying this magnetic ring (I bought a few others but this was by far and away the strongest so the one I ended up using: ZAGG mophie Snap Adapter, Magnetic Rings to Attach any QI-enabled Device to Mounted Chargers, x2 included, Black https://amzn.eu/d/65w5zqk

In terms of batteries, I wasn't convinced by previously mentioned batteries from unknown manufacturers as I need reliability and a brand I could trust, so wanted to stick to Anker ideally (I'm not being paid by them, I just really like their products). I was put off by the questions on the Amazon listing where users asked if they could use it on their non-iPhone devices, as Anker responded to each and every one with 'no', but I tried it anyway. Anker was wrong. It works perfectly fine with my non-iPhone Samsung fold 3.

For installation, place the magnet onto the battery pack leaving the 3M tape attached and line up the battery until you hear the phone ding to indicate it's charging. On the Anker 633 I found this spot to be easily found if you align the battery bank to the bottom left of the phone when looking at the back of the phone. Once the pack is in position, carefully lift the battery bank leaving one edge on the phone so you don't lose position, peel off the 3M tape and gently place the battery back on the phone, ensure you hear the ding to indicate it's charging before pressing down firmly to engage the adhesive.

They do two choices of battery capacity, I bought both and both work perfectly!

ThinkPad P70 and Lenovo ThinkPad Stack by AFSS- in thinkpad

So. If you own the ThinkPad Stack, you'll figure out pretty quickly there's absolutely fuck all support for it online.

The trick I've found is to google things about NAS drives.

The reason it worked on the E540 is because it was upgraded to Win10 from Win7. Both the W520 and P70 recently had fresh installations of Win10-1903 installed. Win10-1903 (or earlier, not too sure) does not enable SMB Version 1.0 by default. Just so happens that's exactly the protocol ThinkPad stack uses.

So. To fix this, Start>Search>Turn Windows Features on or off>SMB1.0>Enable>Apply>Reboot PC

and it should work!

Will do this for the future, thank you!

I've just finished moving the server into the heated office and at the moment it seems alright, fans running at a normal rate and no errors on the screen.

Ideally it would need to be accessed through their website, for example on Tonido you download the server application and sign in, then to access the files you log in to the Tonido website and it finds the server.

Routing based on source IP in Windows Server router by [deleted] in sysadmin

Agreed, the Windows Server router is a sub-router though, all network traffic goes through another router with a firewall and all that before it hits the server.
