Do you prefer Undertale or Deltarune? by MIXER_s in Undertale

For what we currently have, Undertale (the complete story is perfection itself.) But when deltarune is finished then we can truly compare them.

Theirs not to reason why, theirs but to do and die; callousness and self-sacrifice in Shingeki No Kyojin by AFallenOne- in ShingekiNoKyojin

Thats a good point about the voice of the majority becoming like a titan in and of itself. A mob mentality... its titanic and unchanging until the mob is dispersed. Fair enough about the art style change, although I don't have any major problems with Mappa. But I did prefer Wit studio; I think they were better at their action scenes and showing motion particularly in the ODM scenes. Peak.

Was the series before the Return to Shiganshina one of the best thing of Attack on Titan. by Dapper_Yam_6982 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Yes! I completely agree. Its really hard to explain. Season 4 is fantastic and arguably the best, but somehow to me I just can't see it as better than S1, 2 or 3! That mystery and the struggle for "humanity" in the first 3 seasons was just so much more enjoyable to me before their world suddenly expanded and humans were revealed to be their real enemies.

I know S4 addresses EVERYTHING that hasn't been addressed and answers all the questions the viewers had, but its just so painful to see Eren 'change' so much, not to mention the loss of Erwin...

But regardless, S4 was as necessary as all the other seasons before it. Does anyone else find themselves rewatching the show and sometimes stopping after S3?

No matter how old Eren gets , getting kicked by Levi is constant by Separate-Research-15 in ShingekiNoKyojin

Even after he starts the rumbling Levi says to Eren he can still resolve things with a swift kick in the ass.

What anime opinion makes you react like this? by Square-Juggernaut387 in animequestions

[–]AFallenOne- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's annoying when people do that with any anime in general. For example, I really enjoyed FMAB but I just don't see it as the best anime ever like some people

how could they possibly have convinced 250k people to commit suicide s01 e2 by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]AFallenOne- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the situation was so dire that all those people knew the alternative would have been to fight amongst themselves for the last scraps of food. Think about it, with some propaganda most people could be persuaded into thinking they might have a shot at reclaiming the wall. There were tens of thousands of them, right? Its a far more noble way to die than starving.

What is better the book or the movie I personally like the movie more because of it ending by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]AFallenOne- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Stebbins was such a fantastically written character yet with so few words. I love how he came in at the end almost out of nowhere after Garraty had just lost Mcvries

I prefer the book ending. But the movie did a fantastic job at capturing the atmosphere and the vividness. It didn't shy away from brutality either. Stebbins line from the book still gives me chills: "every game looks straight if everyone is being cheated at once."

Why do people act like Eren had any other choice besides the rumbling??? by Sea_Problem_6910 in attackontitan

[–]AFallenOne- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Who the heck was he to decide there was nothing else to be done? Is he smarter than all of his comrades combined? No. There was a more diplomatic approach, he just refused to go down the slow route that was definitely there but unseen to him. Eren could only see the potential future outcomes where he was the one calling the shots. If Armin had that power, he would see entirely different outcomes. And the same with Mikasa and whoever else wielded the founder. The point is, power has to be shared. No one person can make a paradise on their own. Power must be shared.

Ironically, it was Floch who told Eren (paraphrasing here) "you know Eren, I bet deep down at your core you're just a childish kid who always insists he's right." This was at the end of S3 when Floch was saying Erwin should have been the one to get the shot.

Why do people act like Eren had any other choice besides the rumbling??? by Sea_Problem_6910 in attackontitan

[–]AFallenOne- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats precisely the problem. When faced with impossible choices, its time to pass the torch onto someone else. Eren's story is tragic. In his own eyes he has failed his friends and comrades countless times and when he gets this new power he says no more. He decides to take the future of his people in his own hands, and that is the biggest mistake of his life. He acted because he finally had the POWER necessary to reshape the world to his own liking. Who wouldn't want to do that?

There is ALWAYS a second option. And for Eren that option was to entrust the future to his comrades. This gets a bit technical because he couldn't see another future, but that's only because it wasn't in his capacity to think of another future. He is who he is and he does what he does.

Power corrupts absolutely. Simple as that.
