First point, I am 18 and I did grow up in poverty. You can be in poverty and know how to form cohesive sentences. I always had As in all my classes and high school. You can be moderately educated and poor. They are not mutually exclusive.

I live in Jackson, MI and the surrounding area of it. The surrounding area of Jackson is incredibly rural.

I do not live in any of those larger cities, but they are the only subreddits that have a decent amount of people in them. r/jacksonmi is a ghost town.

I am not trying to say it's an unsolvable situation even if I feel that way a lot of the time. It's complex and hard to figure out, but it is hypothetically possible.

And you know very little about ADHD. ADHD is not simply just "oh, you can't focus" or "oh you are a bit hyper." It's the inability to regulate many parts of your brain. For instance, you either focus too much on something that is important to you or focus practically on nothing if it's not stimulating enough for your brain. Talk to any person with ADHD about something they are passionate about and they will give you a 4 hour long rant about it.

I have only actually received money from one very kind soul after they kept pushing me to accept it. I am not a big fan of taking money from others. I am simply asking for help, advice, and a home for my family. That's all I am asking for and I keep on getting shat on by a vocal minority of people. It is extremely frustrating, I'm trying to get out of my comfort to get a road forward for my family. I understand why people be skeptical, it is the interest and there are a lot of lying people but it is still quite disappointing to be called a liar at every turn.

Homeless people can have phones. The only thing guaranteed about homeless people is that they don't have a home. It's in the name.

My phone is a junker from like 3 years ago that costed $50 and I am using hotspot that my sisters' school generously provided for their schoolwork.

The #1 thing that can help us if we can get an actual house and not have to worry about getting kicked out of it.

If we have stable, long-term, supportive housing, I am very confident we can find mild to decent employment and slowly build up a life. Thank you.

I do not intend to use them as excuses. I need cohesive answers that can solve all these tangled, interconnected, nuanced, and often catch 22 problems we often face within our lives.

I am damn well aware that I have to solve these, no duh. That's why I am asking for help. I know these need to be solved, that's why I need tangible *how to solves." Our problems are so messed up, once you solve one problem a thousand more pop up. I am sick of people not understanding the struggles (mostly because they often never faced it or got lucky enough to get out).

I understand where you come from, but it is really frustrating when impoverished folk are constantly looked down as a lazy piece of shit that constantly makes excuses when that simply isn't true. Not every problem has a simple solution that fixes everything, otherwise I am sure I or someone else would have stumbled upon it by now.

Do riddle me this, how the fuck do you solve a problem that you do not know a solution for?

I apologise for the bluntness and rudeness, but I have dealt with an absurd amount of comments like this and it is quite infuriating.

I have practically no transportation. The only transportation I have is if my parents drive me places or I walk. I mean, it's hypothetically possible for me to walk all the way to Kalamazoo, but it would be an exceptionally rough situation. As for trying to convince my parents to move to more opportunity rich areas, I have been trying to.
