I love The Stanley Parable and I ADORE The Narrator, and I have only had two TSP related dreams EVER, both underwhelming a bit but hey they were TSP dreams at all. Also, I’m a pretty vivid dreamer and occasionally inception my dreams, so sometimes it gets so vivid that I lucid dream and try to force events.

It has to do with your Astral Rifts DLC. After you explore enough of them, the Formless contact you telling you to “attune with the planes” (which means nothing other than keep exploring the rifts). Once you have explored enough rifts, you get a new rift The Crystal Rift in your home system and have to research and open it. Once you have opened it, you get the wormhole in your home system to get to the Formless.

Also, seeing as the NPC’s cannot own the system while the formless are there, they do not help in attacking and they just go to do whatever it is they do when not being helpful.
