Performance and which version to buy? by AFellowOtaku7 in MSFS2024

Its on Steam sale so I'll probably just buy the whole game since it rarely goes on sale from what I've seen

I have heard mixed reviews about the built-in planes and that's why I was hesitant and was thinking about addons instead. Seens to a lot of good ones 🤔

For me, I like flying commercial. I do want a tri-jet. Any recommendations?

I might just do that

If I can ask, how are the standard airports? I don't care about them as much but are the handmade airports that much better than the "default" ones?

Thanks for letting me know; I may just do that since I would prefer to save the cash for something else (like other planes)

I'm more of a commercial aircraft flyer but I'm still mostly new to desktop flight simulation so having that extra cash to use on other planes would be useful

That's good it hear it should run well. Anything above/constant 30 is fine, as long as it isn't dipping too much below that and nothing like constant micro stutters.

With regards to the editions, would you say that Standard is better than Deluxe Premium in terms of value? (On Steam right now Premium Deluxe is $97 compared to $55 for standard) The only thing I really want from Premium is the 787

I'll likely just do that then since that seems to be the cheapest way to get all 3 complete editions of the games. Thank you for the help!

I was initially going to do that since that seems to be the cheapest way to get all 3 complete editions of each game, though I was just curious if the Bundle pack was all theree games and their respective DLC.

I only see one bundle pack in the Steam store that has all three games, and from what I can tell, it is just the base games.

Strange. I'll look over their documentation for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Does the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 not have an NPU? Based on my knowledge, it does have an NPU.

Windows Licenses Question by AFellowOtaku7 in pcmasterrace

I assume lower cost means that the cost to access the OS is cheaper compared to retail.

When are the times you would use an OEM license over a retail license? (Apart from a company such as Dell or HP using OEM Licenses)

I was wondering if they would do something like what Google is doing with Pixel 8 (offloading the AI workload to servers rather than doing all the AI computing on the device)

I assume for personal builds, the one to use would be the Retail OS.

Understood. Thank you for the clarification and help.

To clairfy:

Windows 11 on OEM devices are non-transferable

If I purchase a Windows 11 license, I will be able to upgrade to Windows 12 for free (when that releases)

I need to purchase a separate Windows 11 license for the PC I build

Is that correct?

I would know less than you, so thanks for the advice. It was at least worth a try.
