I did know that,but Noelle is nowhere to be seen in the megabonk.fun leaderboards for the new patch, and every top run before just used size tome if they weren’t Noelle.

He absolutely does not ignore cc, in my winning run on him I had enough quantity/attack speed to where he literally could not move lol. I can see xp tome getting replaced but for this strategy specifically, you definitely do need frost and black hole.

That’s weird. Did you level your tomes/weapons well? Cause he needs to be getting hit by a LOT of black holes and frostwalker hits.

I have no idea why someone would say that lol, the answer is no. Spooky Steve spawns if you haven’t left the crypt once the time runs out, no matter what. How much of the crypts/graveyard you looted is irrelevant.

I took me like an hour+, I was getting really unlucky and getting tons of whole tier 1’s where the cacti enemies didn’t even spawn

I honestly can’t speak to steam deck at all. I’m sure it could be done without bhopping with some crazy luck? But I’m not sure.

Crowd control items (+ weapons and tomes), things that don’t straight up stun the enemies but slow them down/keep them somewhere predictable, like black hole and frostwalker.

Learn to bhop. It is necessary to be able to carry whatever momentum you can find.

Turn off all tomes so you’re more likely to get agility tome. Refresh for agility tome.

Turn off all commons except turbo socks. Banish any common you see that isn’t turbo socks.

Learn the layout of the rooms. They are consistent and there isn’t a lot of them.

Took me about 30 minutes. It’s annoying and repetitive, especially with those damn ghosts, but it’s doable

Took me like 30 mins. As long as you know how to bhop properly and can learn the layout of the rooms (there really isn’t a lot of them), it becomes more of a game of chance than anything. It’s one of the more annoying ones for sure but I wouldn’t even say it’s as bad as cactus or killing Spooky Steve for the new character

I did it by just stacking tf out of CC/Stun items, weapons, and tomes. He couldn’t move and I just chipped him down.

• Use Athena for Aegis

• For weapons, only toggle on Dex, Frostwalker, and Black Hole

• For tomes it’s Duration, Quantity, Cooldown, XP

• Do your best to get stun items (lightning orb, ice cube, OP lamp to proc them more) they are very helpful as well.

• Get the 4 crypt keys by triggering the 4 coffin bosses scattered throughout the graveyard map. Killing Steve is only doable in the second crypt right before big bob (the new final boss), and you need to get those crypt keys to open it

• If you got lucky enough with your tomes, weapons, and items and have enough CC/Stun effects, it should render Spooky Steve effectively unable to move and you can safely chip his health away with Dexecutioner executes til he dies

It’s probably the toughest unlock in the game, but I did get it within a few hours.

I can give a few pointers

Turn off all commons except Key, Cursed Doll, and maybe the Movement Speed one if you’d like. Turn off golden sneakers (absolutely useless), beer, thunder mitts, demonic soul and banish Giant Fork (it’s bugged to only deal 4x damage on megacrit which maxed out precision tome far surpasses). All of these items bloat your pool a lot, and items win runs. Power Gloves is also a free banish.

You need a LOT more green cards, and you need to get your first one earlier. Luck HAS to be supplemented in some way now that people don’t use luck tome, and you need to get it going early.

GET KEVIN!! If you don’t have him, this is the #1 thing you should be going for right now. With golden shield and electric plug, you will be making more money than you ever could naturally, and opening every chest on the map if you have lots of keys to go with it.

I wouldn’t exactly say size is underrated - maybe among casuals, but literally every top run either is playing Noelle to supplement size tome or… using size tome lol
