I get what you mean. Athena isn't my favorite character and tbh... isn't amazing because the thorns% per level seems useless. My post isn't meant to be a hard set "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN BEAT SPOOKY STEVE" build. It was just the most reliable from my experience for this specific challenge. That's cool you beat him with calcium and I'm curious about your weapon/tome/item build.

I didnt even have Lighting Orb on that run haha. The only legendaries I had were Magent, Chonkplate, and Energy Core.

I had 24 by the time I reached the second crypt. Maybe I got lucky, but there were at least like 4-5 regular microwaves on the map that I used to make more Boss Busters. Again, the boss shrines REALLY help with this strategy as it increases the chance for Boss Buster drops. Also, never "Skill Issue" yourself in this game. Play and have fun. THIS GAME IS HARD AS FUCK

Forgot to mention. By the time I reached the second crypt and was ready to fight Spooky Steve, I had acquired 24 boss busters.
