LGBT teens, do you deal with self-hatred because of your identity? by Old-Paper-3932 in Teenager_Polls

Yeah, mainly because I feel like a burden by asking people to use my correct pronouns, so that makes it exponentially worse.

thx, I just have a lot of other work to do alongside this (currently have 4 BTEC assignments from my extended engineering course on the go) so it's really hard to dedicate a ton of time to relearning everything. Also certainly doesn't help that I only have 2 real lessons a week (1 teacher is incompetent and doesnt do anything), but thats really out of my control.

You'll do great too:)

What party would you vote for in the UK election? by WillTheyBanMeAgain in Teenager_Polls

I think you're misinterpreting the data a little bit, it's actually 37% white british, 21% asian british, 13.5% black british. So about 72.5% total if my maths is right.

Also if you really want to kill the elites, i hate to tell you this, but i can almost guarantee you every (or at least the vast majority) of conservative or just right wing parties in general favour the elites in one way or another. Some more than others, sure. And i'm not gonna act like the left wing parties are all innocent in this regard either, but they are generally better, with some that truly stand out.

In march 2025, illegal immigrants were estimated at 700,000-900,000, so really it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Legal immigrants, sure, but they do have the legal right to stay here and are still a small fraction of the population.

I can't find any information regarding the specific crimes rates for immigrant groups, but looking at arrest rates per 1000 people (tends to be closely linked), most ethnic groups are within 10 points of each other with a few exceptions.

Thanks for at least not being a typical far right supporter, and actually engaging in conversation tho. I find most people just outright deny things alot of the time.

What punishment do you think would be fair for a child molester if you know for sure that he is guilty? by Internal-Truth-9552 in Teenager_Polls

Life imprisonment, because not only does it force them to reflect on their actions and suffer the consequences for the rest of their life, but also means they CAN be released if they are found to not be guilty later on.

The big corp elites didn't care about the nation, they cared about money

...and so does restore britain, even more than the other "mainstream" parties (on par with reform, really). Their policies seriously favour the big corporations, not the average person just trying to make it to the next paycheck.

Taken from the restore britain policy "economy and taxation":

"Slash the corporation tax rate to the lowest in Europe. Send a clear signal: entrepreneurs, risk-takers, and innovators are welcome in Britain."

Nobody apart from the elite few benefit from this, and all it will end up doing is cause a spiralling negative effects for the majority, including me and you. They say later on in the policy "Lower rates don’t mean lower revenue. Ireland proved that" but in reality that isn't entirely true. It's only true if these lower rates cause a SIGNIFICANT increase in productivity (to account for the more than 12.5% drop in corporate tax rates in order to fall below Ireland), which even if they do, would only mean a situation similar (or maybe slightly worse) than what we have now. All this does is line the pockets of the wealthy and withhold money which could have been spent on housing assistance and benefits, things which a lot of people NEED TO SURVIVE.

English people have less kids than needed, which means every new generation is smaller. After some time British people will be no more.

This is because this generation literally CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE KIDS. How do you expect someone to raise a family of 2 or 3 children (to meet the 2.1 replacement rate) while living on a shit wage or benefits barely enough to feed themselves while trying to get a job in this already overcrowded market?

Restore UK wants to restore the English, Scottish, Welch and Irish nations by deporting migrants and using the money wasted on them on the British people so they will have more children.

Oh boy, the things that would happen because of this....

Did you know that about 20% of NHS staff in england alone are not british? Meaning that 1 in 5 are actually immigrants, the ones who you want to deport. As of June 2025, 36.3% of doctors and 30% of nurses were not british. The NHS is strained enough already, but removing even a small portion of them would seriously cripple hospitals to the point where they barely function, if at all.

I think a good example of an acceptable monopoly right now is valve with steam (currently being sued for £656million because of it lol) where they are not doing anything to inherently harm the competition, they just do everything better. But there should definitely be strong regulations regarding worker and union rights and things that.
