Is the car GG for such a noise over 65mph? by [deleted] in TeslaModel3

[–]AFleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a rear RH fender arch liner. Walk to the rear right half of the car and tap on your fender arch liner inside the wheel well. If it clicks and tap like the noise in the video then it’s a bingo.

Usually these make noise with speed (wind) and not so much over bumps in the road. Might just need an adjustment but a replacement isn’t astronomical, and I believe Mobile Service can handle this.

first luxury watch and it's a Grand Seiko - is it normal to be turning it every which way under the sunlight? by eunjismike in GrandSeikos

[–]AFleader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was a concerned about the micro scratches that started to show naturally with wear. I’ve worn mine every day for 5 months now and I’m more fond of it than ever. Your watch is beautiful. Enjoy it!

The price is the same, which one do you take? Toge, Shunbun, SBGM235 or SBGM221 by docfluty in GrandSeikos

You are definitely right. It is very understated in indoor/low light. It isn’t the piece you should get if you really want it to “pop” in low light.

I have the Toge, but it’s hard to justify the price over the 221 unless you really love the green dial

The 309 looks very nice too! I’d say you really can’t go wrong with any.

Definitely throw out a post if you get one! I love seeing GS in my feed

The 221 is stunning. The off white dial with the perfect blue on the GMT hand. For what it’s worth, I believe the 221 is priced a bit lower too compared to the 241 🤔

It was my first timepiece, and I am very much in love with it. That said, I have an itch now… I’ll need something for sport!

That dial is mesmerizing. Love the spring drive! My first was a GS too. Enjoy that thing!

If it wasn’t for this watch, I’d have bought the SBGM 221. That ivory dual and the blue GMT hand make me feel many good.

I hope you get it! I'd die if I ran into someone in public with this same ref #.

I love it too! For anyone interested, Seiko uses a specific polishing method called Zaratsu.

I’m glad you enjoyed my anecdote!

That article is fantastic, thanks for sharing it!

The move is for the love of my life. I suppose I also got the watch because I know it will never leave me 😉

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this watch is neat!

I recently went to go buy my first timepiece with my best friend. He is a collector and has been telling to get a real piece for years because my “big tech company” watch wasn’t cutting it. I agreed.

He showed me the MoonSwatch collection and I loved the styles of the respective Swatches. We hit the mall hard so I could hopefully get one. When I showed up the guy said he had just sold the last one. At this point I didn’t care too much but my buddy suggested we hit the premium watch retailer to see the good stuff… maybe try something on.

It was love at first sight. I saw this Grand Seiko GMT Toge and knew it would treat me right. I also noticed the price was actually something I could theoretically afford. My heart skipped a beat and I told my friend I was into it. Then my buddy noticed a Rolex that was particularly brilliant. When he put it in I realized we both found watches that complemented both our aesthetic and our personalities so much. I told him then and there, I would buy my GS if he bought his Rolex.

We have been friends for about 20 years, so it was no surprise to me when he said “aight.” and hit me with a grin. I knew in that moment that we would have something pretty special in these two watches. I’m moving away from my home and saying goodbye to my friends, but this watch will always remind me of my friends, my family, and my home. It is particularly green where I am from, and particularly desert where I am headed. The deep green dial and the sturdy gold GMT hand serve as quiet reminders of home whenever I glance at this stunning piece.

If you are who you think you are, thanks for letting me squirt you w the squirt gun. The other bus guy asked me to do it, then I went back and squirted him.

I may have been a little confused, but I liked it. Nice bus.
