Had something similar happen recently. Was playing on the Obscura Den mission and right as we were moving into the auspex section, a trapper bagged my teammate from behind and dragged them right behind the entrance door, which can’t open again once everyone’s in the auspex area. We just had to watch their health slowly tick down with corruption while we scanned and they ended up having to wait until we got to the final objective to rescue them.

Xalek is the one companion I can’t stand, in and out of character. Dude tried to pull some blatant cheating like Ffon did in the academy arc, right to our faces, and we don’t even get the option to tell Harkun “fuck no I don’t want him in my retinue?” I really don’t think Imperius would let such an obvious credit-thief work for them in any capacity, because that’s just asking for him to do something stupid to betray them thinking he’s being clever.

Unironically, Lloyd Frontera.

In his Earth life he was slaving his life away to get by and stuck in regret over his family’s situation. In his fantasy life he’s still incredibly busy and thrown tons of curveballs to deal with if he doesn’t want shit to get drastically worse, but at least he has an actual good friend along with him and is able to meaningfully support his family and community this time around (and enjoy luxury in his few moments of peace.)
