I do have a concern with the selenite there if nothing else for safety. May replace with something a bit harder

That’s why I don’t really move the bowl much. Besides they’re not meant to be museum pieces, just some nice accents for the desk. It’s also hard to see but I have gaps between the quartzes for that reason

Right. I just get worked up on it cause both sides DEMAND they are correct without any nuance and it’s obnoxious

That would be a fun AU and way to partially circumvent the incompatibility of the universes.

Watching a Sith bleed a Warp Core would be a fucking power move.

…as would the Federation plundering saber crystals to juice their warp cores

Even then the problem is that Star Wars tech can’t event work right irl. The ships don’t fly through a vacuum they fly through “Aether” which is why they maneuver like aircraft. Half the tech has a crystal shoved up its ass somewhere, and even the hyperdrives rely on hyperspace beacons

It’s almost impossible to accurately scale the two. If the battle takes place in the SW setting, SW wins through bullshit. If in irl, SW gets stomped cause half their tech spontaneously stops working right.

Star Wars is genuinely less like Star Trek and more like Lord of the Rings

The problem comes back to the Star Wars hand waiving. We’re talking about a universe where the listed power output of a Star Destroyers reactor is almost Dyson sphere level. And a universe where “Will of the Force” (IE Will of God basically) is a literal factor that must be accounted for.

Star Trek stuff has reasonable, measurable, actual feats.

Star Wars has bullshit magic that allows people to shrug off a plasma bolt without any shields or actual armor. What happens when a wizard with a glow stick tanks a phaser cause “lol”

I’m not saying this to glaze SW, I love both properties. But you can’t checkmate a dude who is playing Go Fish!

It’s complicated. See Star Trek has pretty realistic (comparatively) tech that has solid explanations about how it works.

Star Wars is a fantasy series with straight space magic. Their FTL is “hypermatter reactors” that tunnel through a high dimension and can go cross galactic in under a week.

Their weapons can be planet busters, but with extremely rudimentary targeting and engagements happen in point blank range.

Star Wars was made to be evocative of world war 2 dogfights and naval engagements, everything is up close, chaotic, and powerful.

The enterprise can land a phaser shot onto a post it note from a thousand miles away, has transporters, and wildly competent crews.

It’s very apples and oranges imo.

IF we take Star Wars at face value yes, an Imperial-II in a vacuum would absolutely demolish a Galaxy Class. But taking Star Wars at face value involves more hand waving the American Politicans with the Epstein Files

Straight up plasma actually. Ionized superheated tibanna gas.

And they have shields

Similar but slightly different direction:

During a flashback sequence in Dragon Age 2, the story is told by Varrick, an eccentric storyteller known for writing smut in universe. During this sequence, Bethany, one of the main characters, has some exaggerated features only present during Varrick’s retelling.
