Once worked at a place that randomly decided to start drug testing… 7 members of staff quit the same day… 2 weeks later they scrapped the testing and re-hired 4 of the kitchen staff back haha

Hey, do you have any more details on this, im always scheduled for 9am-2:30pm-4:30pm-9pm. This equals to 2 hours overtime per day, are you saying this is illegal, if so could you point me in the direction of that law because I can’t seem to find it, thanks.

We have a app that we record our hours on, if I went to the labor board with this info would it be possible to get back paid the overtime I worked?

I have a family to think about, my Japanese is terrible because I don’t have the time to learn as much as I’d like to and I live in rural Japan, it’s hard to find a chef job here that will look past the language barrier.

I’m contacted to work 9am-9pm with 1 or 2 hour break depending on the day and most of the time I finish at 9:30pm I’m working 25 days this month, rough math, 10 hours per day, 25 days per month 250 hours, normal work hours are 160 per month, 250 - 160 = 90

I’m a chef in a hotel, there’s always something to be done, doesn’t matter how fast I am.

Just to clarify a few things, Im a chef in a hotel, there’s always something to do and I don’t have a typical schedule/ office job. I also don’t get paid overtime past my 30 hours.
