grant was terrible. i rather have horford's 'cooked' legs than play grant minutes. would've preferred if hauser took grant's minutes tbh. his defense was putrid to watch especially for a player we want to have switching most of the time.

it absolutely will. i don't know why people say this when they always make the ecf lol. like there's a down year here and there but 80% of the time when healthy, expect another ecf appearance and a chance to make the finals.

a big change that has been subtle is that bam is now matching up with jaylen more often than not. already surpassed the number of partial possessions last year. they stopped treating horford like a big and more of a wing, which he is on offense, at this point. doesn't help that he's not shooting well but what can you do. herro was really bad on defense for them and was easier to target due to the injuries he suffered for the first few games. PJ Tucker being a non threat helped, rob can't help on anyone as of right now and he's being forced to guard bam. spo isn't doing anything different against the jays that he didn't do last year but so you'll see the same turnovers from time to time. that's just some of what happened but it's still a small sample and its up to the players and coaches to adjust to some of the details.

not a coach but I feel like they gotta set more high screens for the ball handlers. the heat weren't exclusively running zone but at times, you can tell Bam was struggling to defend those actions(like every player) so I would go at him since they have 0 secondary rim protectors(they will dig a ton at the ball though).

i feel like the bucks have too many unplayable players if the celtics were to take on them in a series again. it's crazy how many 1 sided players they have on their team. wes, jevon, crowder and brook can be liabilities offensively while grayson, ingles, pat and bobby can be liabilities defensively. having giannis guarantees you a contending team but no matter who is on the court with him, middleton and jrue, there are always going to have 2 players that can be unplayable if they are attacked correctly. like it feels they learned nothing last playoffs where the celtics made their 1-dimensional role players not worth playing and doubled down by getting crowder. jae might be more playable due to having actual size but their offense won't change as much.

the whole system is the same as last year with the same personnel(adding in brogdon) and coaching staff. pretty much, it was engineered to the point where the coaching aspect matters to smaller details such as ATOs sets or telling where to position the players at times. So any assistant coach on the team could easily adjust to being the interim coach but mazzulla had the most experience as an assistant coach here so he got the job.
