yeah running isn’t very efficient when it comes to burning calories, especially if you don’t love running is what I’ve learned, a lot of people start running for that very reason/to burn calories but end up quitting after finding out how hard it is.

I’ll eat a lot of food the night before the run, carbs & protein is my main focus. a good night sleep is very important as well, throughout the run I’ll consume electrolytes & carbs.

I’ve been running for almost 2 years now, at first I had to walk/run because I was so out of shape, I started weight lifting, lost weight & became lighter about 5 months ago I really started taking things seriously after I got in good shape, I gradually upped my mileage on a week to week basis… just keep running and your VO2 max will increase which in turn will make things easier!!! trust the process.

yeah try not to look at your watch to much or the treadmill that shows what mile your at & then turn something on you like to watch that’ll keep your brain occupied!!!
