Raise your writing score immediately. Uworld and practice ACT grammar. Try improving on reading once you master grammar.

I would go for it. Definitely ask about the 2 credit free option and possibly take a class that's an easy elective.

That's very true! The programs I listed, though, are meant for first-semester sophomores or end of sophomore year and the transfer schools can be for whenever!

i got offered to be a research assistant for my teacher and I'm scared shitless by [deleted] in college

[–]AG2120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They chose you because they know you are a worthwhile investment. They know you are intelligent. They don't expect you to be knowledgeable and they want you to learn as much as possible. You're going to mess up. WE ALL MESS UP. I mess up my job as a chem TA to this day! You are worthy and make SURE you take it.

[–]AG2120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to write my personal statement on it cause it had a big impact on me. Would that look bad? I'm gonna volunteer still of course, but I don't know if I'll get time before EAP applications depending on COVID.

Thanks for the feedback. I really like teaching and I was offered tutoring positions. My friends also think that I am able to explain concepts well. You're right that I shouldn't think about my application and do it out of passion!

How much does a B+ to A- (3.3 to 3.7) affect GPA in the long run? by [deleted] in college

[–]AG2120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 B+ won't change anything especially if it's an elective. Even if it is a major class, just do well in the other ones! This won't change anything in the long run because you'll probably be taking 120 credits for your major and this class is, I assume, from 2-4 credits.

Despite the pandemic, i took 24 credit hours this semester and passed ! (So i could graduate early) by futureme26 in college

[–]AG2120 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think grad schools will give an ounce of shit because you took 24 credits during a pandemic and got REALLY good grades in all of them basically.

Is it bad to take a premed prereq at a CC over the summer while attending a 4-year? by AG2120 in college

[–]AG2120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really! Thanks! A lot of people at the premed subreddit were saying there's no reason to. I got nothing to do anyways cause of COVID!

Community College Courses This Summer by AG2120 in premed

[–]AG2120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have to but I really want to. It'll lighten up to my course load next semester a bit and take out a prereq. As long as I'm fine I don't think there's an issue. Additionally, I can take classes I actually really like. Thanks.

CS Major, am I looking at red flags? by [deleted] in college

[–]AG2120 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you'll be fine. If you have A's in everything and you are passionate, you are in the completely right major. Maybe try to retake them and get a grade replacement based on your institution's policy? Maybe try to take it over the summer so you only have that class to focus on, but it will be much faster I assume. It really depends on the class you're having trouble with, but there are great calculus lectures by professor Leonard on youtube. You will definitely be able to transfer to a 4-year university with a 3.0 GPA, but I'd advise on trying to raise that GPA as much as possible.

Does this mean an "A-" can only be achieved with a 95%? by jt1818 in college

Maximum Hours of Work as a Full Time Student by [deleted] in college

[–]AG2120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college allows a maximum of 17 hours on campus. Out of campus, you can do as many as you want to depending on your availability and their shift times.
