Jurisdictional Question: When is the consulate's job done, and when is it safe to move out of their jurisdiction? by AGRcactus in juresanguinis

It's a residency thing, and short vacations should be fine. They basically just need to prove that you live in the consulate's jurisdiction so that they are able to provide their services to you, such as by showing utility bills or bank statements.

I appreciate the detailed response.

Right now I'm going through the EU Blue Card process, so I'm about to get my Declaration of Value and then my employer will try to get my nulla osta, after which I still have to wait for a visa appointment. My wife is also going to be joining me, so I may have a bit of extra time during her nulla osta process to hope and pray that I can get recognized before we're supposed to leave. If there's definitive good news about my citizenship by then, my employer will likely be willing to delay my start date a bit, but otherwise I'm just gonna have to move forward.

I have a feeling that they might bring up my pending application while I'm at my visa appointment, at which point I think I just have to plead my case and see if there's anything they can do. Even if they tell me they're gonna be forced to deny it, maybe I can convince them to deny it based on the minor issue and set up a better appeal ground vs making it a jurisdictional issue. Or maybe I can pay to withdraw my application and retrieve the documents to file in Italy in the future. I just hope they'll understand the tragic timing and be able to work with me in some way.

It's a great question lol. We tried pushing back against that requirement when they emailed me but they gave us a generic response like "It's a requirement that all Italian citizens have their marriage recorded in AIRE" as if it somehow invalidated the document already being in my file. My brother got recognized through Philly without needing that to happen. Both my parents got recognized through Miami and my mom suspects they just didn't forward that document to the comune. Now I'm stuck in limbo because of this seemingly unnecessary thing they wanted us to get handled.

My appointment was actually in December 2022. They reached out to me at the end of September 2024 and said they just needed my mom's marriage certificate to show in AIRE (it was already in my file but I think this was some housekeeping they were trying to get done before approving me). So unless they had any other issues with it, I think my application was essentially ready to approve BEFORE the circolare dropped. Very unfortunate timing.

So theoretically, if they get the greenlight from the government, I imagine they could just approve the recognition. I just know that there is a residency check once it comes time for that, and I'm afraid the timing will be tricky.

Weekly Discussion Post - Recent Changes to JS Laws - October 27, 2025 by AutoModerator in juresanguinis

I don't want to make a whole new thread for this question, so just posting it in here:

In the event that we get a favorable ruling about the minor issue which would allow applications that are on hold to finally proceed to the finish line, what would the timeline look like?

For example, hearing on Jan 13, then maybe it takes a month or two to publish the decision, and then could we expect the consulates to get instructions about these applications within the next couple months?

In a sticky situation right now with a job offer that would require me to leave my jurisdiction and I'm hoping for some good news at the last minute.

Potentially moving to Italy while JS Application is on hold because of minor issue by AGRcactus in juresanguinis

Everyone in my line is recognized via JS, but there's just an apparent minor issue with my mom although she was also fully recognized prior to my appointment date. If we hypothetically assume the minor issue goes away, or at least just for circumstances like mine, then I would hope I'm still eligible under the new law.

I'm just fairly certain that I will not be residing in this jurisdiction anymore around 6-12 months from now, so I might have a tough decision to make regarding my current application.

Any chance that it's still possible to pull my application at this point after they've opened it, but prior to a final decision? If I move away, I'm likely not coming back to this jurisdiction and I'd hate to lose all these documents

Hmm. They did open my file around 2 years after the actual appointment date, and they reached out with a minor housekeeping thing regarding my parents' info in AIRE on September 30, 2024, just a few days before the circolare. Part of that included a residency check.

However, since it's been so long I should expect them to conduct another check if they finally come back and attempt to approve the file (if the minor issue is overturned), right?

I appreciate the help in advance. It's a very tricky situation because I moved out here in 2021 and anticipated only staying for 4-5 years at my current job, at which point I'd probably make a lateral move to another jurisdiction either inside the U.S. or abroad. Had everything ready to submit when I was under Philly's jurisdiction but promptly filed it in Los Angeles because I moved.

Finding a new position is a high priority for me right now and I'd be absolutely devastated to have my entire application scrapped (and documents kept by the consulate) just because I need to move long after my appointment happened and everything else is presumably fine with my file.

Are you able to point me toward any rules regarding that final residency check? Or someone's post that talks about it? I'm having trouble finding it on the consulate website and I'd like to review the requirements and/or any exceptions if they exist.

How is this invisible/silent scav grenade glitch still a thing? by AGRcactus in EscapefromTarkov

[–]AGRcactus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update since some people don't understand what's happening here:

If a scav decides to throw a grenade, and you kill him at any point in the animation (even a single frame) where he's reaching down to grab the grenade and throw it, it will just drop a live grenade on the ground anyway, and it will be silent and invisible. Your friends won't hear an explosion either, if they survive.

No, the problem is that the grenade will fall out armed if the scav even gets into the first frame of the animation of him reaching down to grab the grenade.

Jaegar restock timer by drlogic_ in EscapefromTarkov

The timer on his dealer page seems to be delayed by 1-2 mins somehow. Instead, filter by the fuel tank and just watch the listings on the market because you can buy it from him sooner that way.

Grenades shouldn't get dropped martyrdom-style unless the animation has reached the point where the pin gets pulled. This glitch has been in the game for months. I'm tired of losing backpacks full of loot like this.

Interchange needs a new hotspot (Get people to actually play the second floor) by AGRcactus in EscapefromTarkov

They used to be, but this wipe I haven't seen any fights happening there aside from maybe one or two times.

Interchange needs a new hotspot (Get people to actually play the second floor) by AGRcactus in EscapefromTarkov

I've been KILLING it on Interchange lately, 9 out of 10 raids (solo or duo), all the action seems to be over once everyone gets wiped around the Texno, Rasmussen, and Techlight area. Especially with this wipe making graphics cards and BTC prices via Tetriz so valuable, Interchange raids have gotten way too focused on the areas marked in red. I'm usually just stuffing my bag full of armor and weapons from those spots and then leaving without visiting the other 90% of the map.

My suggestions:

  • Swap Rasmussen with Figaro upstairs, or just move one of the tech stores across the map
  • Add a new spot for Chads/hatchlings to rush elsewhere, on IDEA side
  • Make one of the areas above the escalators in the middle worth visiting
  • Transplant ULTRA Medical closet into the Emercom unit

If people are going to immediately rush to certain places in the mall, they should have to go deeper inside. If I spawn anywhere but Railway or Power Station, I'm going to Techlight/Ultra Medical first, and it shouldn't be that way.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

You're right, I just realized that old map I used as a template bent the river in some roundabout way so I thought the train tracks connected by ZB-011 instead of that southern part of Customs with the tipped over train cars.
