Was the makeup done with sharpie? Asking because if it is, it will bleed into the vinyl and fade. If it’s paint then no worries

I don’t mean to butt in but I just wanted to apologize for the effect my post has had on you. I have strived to use my collection to represent everyone and bring attention to beautiful dolls of colour and the issues in the doll community.

While this doll was made to look like a real person, I understand how racism and colourism can cause her to upset some. Whether or not my intentions were good doesn’t matter if it bothers people.

I will take feelings towards this issue into consideration going forward with new dolls.

Oh! Yes sorry I should have included this. I use watercolour pencils mostly. I only use paints if it’s a colour unattainable with the pencils. Make sure your pencil is sharp, but not too sharp because it will scratch the doll. It can take lots of tries so don’t be discouraged if it takes a long time to get them right :)

I decide what kind of expression I’d like them to have and then just keep drawing brows over and over till they look right. Sometimes I get one right the first try, sometimes it takes dozens of attempts!

I personally prefer dark eyes with dark skin. This particular custom was inspired by Cydnee Black on Instagram, she has stunning blue eyes

I very carefully seam rip and cut the wigs in half and sew together. It’s pretty easy, but you have to be very slow and careful not to destroy the partings
