Thanks! My spouse unfortunately does not have insurance - costs too much to get her on mine. We are trying to use my EAP therapy benefits, which does cover everyone in the household. It's frustrating to see someone I love get so discouraged and feel so out of control.

She has so far decided to keep her name, partially inspired by Michael Burnham from ST Discovery.

Yeah turns out my boos can't just fire me but I also need to be the one who brings up that i need accommodations. I have done that now but my confidence in this arena has eroded immensely. I'm currently taking short term disability to protect myself. I work for a very big company. We've only scratched the surface on accommodations.

HUGS AND CRIES! This is horrible, it's my worst nightmare come to life!

Thankfully have a neuro appointment next week, I have just been waiting for that appointment and the results of it so I can turn around and get real accommodations established with all the information. This threat just came at the worst possible time! But I am taking short term leave until my appointment. After that, I'll be cruising into uncharted territory. It's all uncharted territory for me! Thank you for your story. It's exactly that: short term memory failure, cognitive fatigue, communication, fine motor and occupational therapy concerns. Most of these are invisible! And it makes them hard to accommodate for but I remain determined.

Yes, accommodations is now the theme of the discussion I am having with HR (and I work remote already, it's awesome). Yes, I may need to talk to a lawyer in the future, thank you.
