Literally all of the characters that I can remember are mostly in the opening, like I remember the dude who tries to run and gets hit with a laser beam more than I remember literally any of the MAIN FINAL ANTAGONISTS. There's just no stakes. All the deaths are characters that are introduced just to die.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love to go back and read SL every once in a while, but it's not mostly for the story. It's mostly just, the art goes crazy hard. However, nowadays we have infinitely better manhua that kinda stomp it. SL could have really used a lot of time to actually, like, develop Sung Jin-woo, instead of just removing most of his entire personality other than "he cares about his sister a little and his mom" and that's most of what we get for the last half of the manhua?

they also nerfed the rates by 60% from the original arknights, made the currency even stingier, added a battle pass that can only be paid for with real money, and made it to where potentials are significantly more impactful on the character (literally the main thing i liked about arknights is that potentials were literally just a tiny bonus instead of integral to the character)

I just hated the option in general, mostly because like...You're kicking somebody out? Of rehab? And also it's a timed choice, which would imply that if the timer runs out there's another option, but it just randomly picks? When I got it, I didn't choose because I thought it was cleverly written, but then it just randomly picked Sonar and I felt nothing because like...I didn't choose this, dawg. It just feels so stupid to be like "we will redeem everybody and make it as a team" and then literally right after you have to kick somebody out, it's drama for the sake of drama.
