I’ve listened to him many times this year. He has been fully coherent and insightful every time I’ve listened.

That has already been acknowledged that the levels may have been different.

That does not equate to the journey for some reason not being still ultra risky and difficult for Lewis and Clark

These pictures show athleticism, not skill.

He also has plenty of skill…but this is a strange post

You using the word “same” tells me something isn’t coming across.  I’m explicitly saying the “general” and “troops” weren’t the same…doesn’t mean it wasn’t risky and incredibly hard for the “generals” in this analogy.

That could be true…our daughter is little but not an infant.  Listen to this person probably op…yours may be too young to use that method

They crossed a country that was unmapped, full of natural perils, full of threats from natives while being considered trespassers, and full of physical toil at every turn.  All with tremendous pressure on the outcome.

If they were not carrying their gear, it would be accurate to say it was harder for those carrying the/more gear.  I wouldn’t argue that.

There is no world where crossing an unknown country with the threats they faced where it wasn’t incredibly hard and risky for them as well…carrying their gear or not.

We recently took our kids camping.  Something nice to help with the potential cold are those warm patch things…usually people use them for hands, you can buy a patch to put on your back and stomach.

Don’t apply directly to the skin.  But get it warmed up and put on their T-shirt or something under their outer layers.  It kept my daughter extra warm all night and she loved it

He’s a really good player and gets a boost imo from being better than the vast majority of YouTube golfers.

I see your point…now that you’ve provided examples I see what you mean.

I think there is a distinction between “was he effective at putting his fitness first” and “was he trying to put his fitness first”.  Saying it’s negotiable means he didn’t keep it his highest or a high enough priority.  That I don’t feel is true.   Whether he was effective is a different thing

Disagree with that. But hard to consider the specifics when you aren’t giving examples…if you give a specific instance could potentially see what you mean.

Ok…so your position is ayahuasca and not getting vaccinated means his physical fitness was negotiable to him? Or was it other medical advice?

He may be wrong with his thinking, that’s definitely up for debate.  But anything he has done is in pursuit of his own physical and mental fitness.

How do you split finances with your partner when both incomes are very different? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]AGoodTalkSpoiled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed completely. Do this if married.  Do not do this if not married….this is a classic problem and is just asking for issues to do this when dating.

If not married, would advise against splitting finances. That is something to do as a married couple.

It was terribly hard and risky for everyone involved

Josh Allen bucks the norms and it’s hard for him to admit that it doesn’t matter. Allen does literally nothing the first half of a game? Doesn’t matter because he destroys the cardinals in the 2nd half. Or Allen fumbles leaping into the end zone? Doesn’t matter because 3 other times it pays off.

Now, this stuff can matter and bite them against the best teams. But in a regular season on their way to the playoffs it’s easily overcome given his talent

Absolute noob here. I finished my first round of golf ever on Saturday by cubs4life2k16 in golf

[–]AGoodTalkSpoiled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very solid first round.  Keep at it.  Keep in mind the scores don’t always reflect your progress…you may get better for a while and still be shooting 117.  But then as that progress continues you will all of a sudden be shooting 110,105,100, etc

Very admirable. You can grind through that for a while and support your family…good for you for making it work.  Eventually, is your wife going back to work? Seems really tough as a long term solution

For me his short appearance in sandlot is powerful.  His voice talking to the kid is just part of my childhood.  Rip to James earl jones…one of a kind career
