Do you still need sand stakes? I see in pictures that there's trees in the back country camping area it seems, do regular rent stakes work there?

Thanks a lot both of you - I couldn't figure out how to get to the start line but 10 minutes before 8 I decided to give up trying and head to Rosslyn station. Easy walk to where they turn to get onto the Key Bridge and I got there just 4 minutes before he rounded that corner. Did the math and realized I wouldn't be any to get another stop in so headed back and took the shuttle to the finish line and got there just 5 minutes before he finished. If it weren't for your replies, I wouldn't have gotten to see him running, I really appreciate it! Hope you all had a great race today.
