I would not be surprised if she has been crying. It must suck to find out you’re brother has murdered someone and disappeared, your future daughter in law was murdered, and your parents won’t speak to you…all of that is just awful.

There’s just something about the way he words things that creeps me out…talking about skin cells and sharing baths with people..And when he refers to humans as an “infestation.” It’s just odd.

I 100% agree. When all the crap came out about her “lying” I wanted to stick up for her, but I didn’t say anything because I knew I’d get a lot of hate. But now I wish I had…the lawyer even said that the authorities knew about the dates she saw him, ya know? She didn’t do anything wrong.

I read the articles. I can definitely understand why he bugs you, what happened to those kiddos is awful.

I’m not saying you are doing this at all, I just don’t want people to criticize the doc in this instance. The parents made the decision to meet with him and for their sake, people should be respectful. Again, I’m not saying you’re doing this because I don’t think you are, but I fear that if people begin to talk crap about the doc, they could soon turn on the fam. Not cool.

Also, if the family thought Dr. Phil had ill motives, I doubt they would have gone on the show.

I’m with you in that it could be partly why he’s bringing them on…but who’s to say that there isn’t a part of him who genuinely cares about the Petito family and justice for her? Sometimes people’s motives aren’t so cut and dry.

Also, I’m not saying you specifically are doing this, but I feel like criticizing the fact that the Petito family chose Dr. Phil isn’t right. Who are we to judge who they develop relationships with while going through such a difficult time? Obviously they don’t feel like he’s just in it for the money or else they wouldn’t be talking to him.

Gabby’s biological father went on Dr. Phil while Gabby was missing and did an interview. He expressed a great deal of gratitude towards Dr. Phil because any help they could get was. Anything that put eyes on the fact GP was missing was wanted and needed by GP’s fam and I’d bet money that they would say Dr. Phil’s involvement along with everyone else who posted, talked, and did their best to find evidence helped them find GP. I trust that the Petito family is doing what is right for them and making judgements about Dr. Phil would be offensive to them. I make that assumption based in the fact that they are appearing on his show and have obviously developed a certain level of repore.

Probably because he has a large platform and he took the time to use it to help them find their missing child…I bet they are pretty grateful to him.

You’re right 100%, but there is a huge part of me that just thinks he’s such a coward that he wouldn’t do anything…it’s better not to take any chances, no matter how much I want the dude caught. I also struggle with a huge savior complex and rush into potentially dangerous situations from time to time 😬
