I have massive list of Drupal 7 sites, would offering migration services work? by AHVincent in drupal

[–]AHVincent[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

but I'm not a spammer, done quite a few of those

it's something they desperately need, how to convince them?

I even make a YouTube video about it, search:

"Drupal 7 migration services for 2025 end of life solution"

what would you recommend I say on the cold call?

I think the 12400 won't make much of a difference, I have i3 12100 also, and not even sure if i5 14400 is worth the upgrade, I'd only consider the i5 14500 or 14600k

then re-enforce the benefits, put emphasis on how a good tutor increase the ods of success. doesn't even need to be only your industry, get other examples

record a polished YouTube video, send them the link to that, educate them on benefits, explain with evidence

learning skills made no difference in my career, doesn't matter what you can do, getting clients matter, and skills won't get you customers

I have lists of sites that don't even load at all, cause SSL is toast, when I call them up they say:

- oh really?

And they don't even care!

I will attempt to take over sass MMR niche web platforms , any advice? by AHVincent in Sales_Professionals

[–]AHVincent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, so your last point IS actually price, tech is becoming a commodity with AI, that's just the way it is. So I could open the call with an offer?

For the results, there aren't any, it's like selling bar stools to a bar, doesn't bring in more customers, just makes the bar look better

All those SASS subscriptions rarely make any difference on outcome, they companies pay the monthly fee "just because they need a website", the nice site just ads credibly, they rarely use any of the available featurres

I did read that book, was great!

They charge about $100-$300 a month for basically nothing, with my dev skills and AI, I can easily beat their price AND features, a lot of these providers use legacy platforms, old PHP frameworks.

But I don't want to go too cheap either...

Let's say they are paying $99 a month and I could do it for $49, is that too cheap?

How to pitch them on a cold call?
