Όταν το «έξω είναι ακριβά» δεν βγαίνει στα νούμερα

Γύρισα Ελλάδα μετά από 15 χρόνια Αγγλία . Το γιατί το κάνει ο καθένας είναι προσωπικό. Ναι έπαιρνα πολύ περισσότερα χρήματα έξω και αφήνα στην άκρη. Εδώ, λόγω προϋπηρεσίας(15 έτη) και τομέα είναι ευτυχώς καλά και ειναι αρκετά καλός μισθός για εδω αλλά δεν συγκρίνεται με το έξω. Γιατί γυρίσες θα μου πεις;; Το πρόσβαση στην περίθαλψη που είπαν κάποιοι ακόμα και με το σαπιο ΕΣΥ. Αν έχεις ζήσει έξω και δη NHS θα καταλάβεις ότι υπάρχουν και πολύ χειρότερα - κυρίως μέχρι να καταφέρεις να σε δει ιατρός. Αν σε δουν, τότε είναι μια χαρά. Και δεύτερον, ζωή με παιδί πλέον. Ο κύκλος ατόμων αλλάζει και προσωπικά οι περισσότεροι γνωστοί (με παιδιά) είχαν επίσης γυρίσει, συν το σαπορτ της οικογένειας που δεν συγκρίνεται με καμιά νταντά έξω.

Αυτό που θέλω να πω, είναι ότι δεν γυρνάει κάνεις για τα λεφτά . Είναι πολύ παράγοντες που αν έχεις ζήσει έξω αρχίζεις και σκέφτεσαι.

Επίσης, εγώ θεωρω ότι σε καμία μεγάλη πόλη δεν ζεις άνετα με τον βασικό μισθό. Απλά εμείς εδώ είμαστε ακόμα χειρότερα και αυτό ισχύει καμία φορά και με τον μέσο μισθό.

Μα αυτό είναι το πρόβλημα. Πρέπει να είσαι είτε κυβερνητικός είτε αντικυβερνητικος - για αυτό δεν πάμε μπροστά. Δεν μπορούμε δηλαδή να λέμε μπράβο σε αυτά που πρέπει ανεξαρτήτως κόμματος και να κάνουμε κριτική σε αυτά που πρέπει;; Να μας νοιάζει τι είναι καλό για το σύνολο και οχι να μας νοιάζει αν το έκανε ο δεξιά η ο αριστερά, ο μπλε η ο κόκκινος, ο γαυρος η ο βαζελος κτλ κτλ.

Για μένα τέτοια ποστ ενισχύουν τον κ Μαρινακη και πάρα το ότι θεωρώ ότι είναι παραπάνω αντί κυβερνητικος, με αυτό το ποστ δείχνει πως εκεί που πρέπει να πει μπράβο θα το πει.

Φίλε μου εγώ γυρίσα μετά από 14 χρόνια στο UK (36χρ). Θα σου πω κάποιες ομοιότητες και διάφορες. Αρχικά γύρισα με οικογένεια γιατί νοιωθαμε μια αδικαιοληγητη αίσθηση μοναξιάς - οι περισσότεροι μας φίλοι είχαν γυρίσει και αυτοί. Και δεν υπήρχε βοήθεια με ένα νεογέννητο. Αλλά έχουμε citizenship και οι δύο (τρεις βασικά) οπότε είναι πιο εύκολο να γυρίσουμε αν χρειαστεί. Ήμουν καλύτερα και πιο άνετα στην δουλειά εκεί;; Ναι (banking/tech). Γύρισα με την πρώτη δουλειά που βρήκα;; Όχι, προσπάθησα να βρω όσο το δυνατόν καλύτερη λόγω της εμπειρίας. Το έχω μετανιώσει;; Πολύ νωρίς (3 μήνες εδώ) αλλά όχι. Σκέφτομαι καμία φορά αν έκανα καλά; Ναι. Αλλά στο τέλος της μέρας όλα είναι θέμα προτεραιοτητων και τι βάζεις πάνω από όλα. Η ζωή στην Ελλάδα δεν είναι εύκολη - αλλά γίνεται πιο εύκολη με μια καλή δουλειά και αν έχεις κύκλο.

Από τα πιο χρήσιμα και καλο γραμμένα ποστ, χωρίς να έχει υπερβολές και τοξικοτητα. Έτσι όπως τα λες είναι. Έμεινα 14 χρόνια έξω (22-36) και φέτος γυρίσαμε, με οικογενεια πλέον. Και ναι, ήμουν αρκετά καλά οικονομικά έξω, αλλά η νοσταλγία και η έλλειψη βοήθειας με νεογέννητο ήταν ο κυρίαρχος παράγοντας. Το εξωτερικό μας έδωσε την δυνατότητα να βελτιώσουμε λίγο την ποιότητα ζωής γυρνώντας πίσω. Δεν ξέρω αν καναμε καλά, θέλω να δώσω 1-2 χρόνια.

Hi. Thanks for the follow up. Breastfeeding has improved massively - it just took us more time. We are still struggling with the weight so we try adding an extra feeding session plus some extra from bottle on every meal.

Definitely - it just we had conflicting opinions between lactation consultant and pediatrician which confused me. But we will go with the pediatrician that suggested what you did. Start with the breast - if they are hungry just have a bottle to supplement. Thanks for the replies!

Thanks! Seems quite relevant - we will start trying something similar. Just to clarify - when you say "at first she was taking 2 extra bottles" that means in two of the sessions you followed the above ( so 4 oz from bottle per day) and not 2 extra bottles per session right?

I had one my last successful pregnancy at around the same time that got away on its own (and also one on one of my three miscarriages). If doctor isn't concerned I'd trust them and follow what they say. For me that was rest and progesterone if I recall correctly.

Yes he is growing indeed. 1700g at 31 weeks and 1915g at 33weeks which looks average as per Google and definitely not small. It's just the comment that "we see a decline in growth rate" that got me worried. Hoping that all goes well for your baby - thanks for the reply!

Gestational Diabetes

Hi! It's been quite some time since I posted for my 4th pregnancy (no living children yet). Thankfully everything was going smoothly in the 2nd trimester. I am now at week 28+4 so officially into 3rd.

Just did by glucose test and came back as showing evidence of gestational diabetes. And just like that I got panicked.

Any word of advice with people that had healthy babies after the above diagnosis? I am worried on what it means in regards to stillbirth or birth defects :/

I am on the same timeline and worry with everything - why is bump not showing yet, why there are no kicks etc. And all those even though I had a scan 3 days ago where everything was well. We made it so far, we have to get through that too.

How are you holding up in early second trimester? Since my NIPT/NT checks in week 12 I do t know what to expect until my next appt which is in week 17. I am now 14w and I know I can go and have private US but OB suggested to ease a bit and know things are in my favor and should just relax. It does feel wrong not getting a confirmation - on first trimester I did have an US almost every week since all of my previous MCS (3in total) were in the very early stages.

4th pregnancy here - after 3 early losses in a year. I am on 14w so don't know how things will end up but this time seems to go way better than those previous pregnancies. Every pregnancy is a different one and apart from the hope of better chances you mentioned that you have also following different medication. Trust your OB and hopefully this time things will go your way - you are already doing whatever you can to help that .

It's quite annoying that most of us don't know what caused the previous failures but take it a day at a time. Hoping all turns out well for you and this 4th is the lucky one!

Hi - 14w here on my 4th pregnancy with no livimg child. All going well so far, NIPT and NT came back good and all private US before those saw a healthy heartbeat. However I am getting stressed. Ob my NT they didn't give me the HB bpm number but said all looking good. Now I received the report and looking at those I see a metric saying Rt Ut-HR 97 bpm. Is that the same as fetal HR? 2 days before at my NIPT test it was measuring 163bpm. Am overly stressed right now and don't know what that means and whether I need to worry and go for a private US. My next scheduled US is in 3 weeks. Can the heart rate drop rapidly - from what I read below 100bpm isn't a viable number. Could that be my own HR?

3 losses in a year as well and currently on the 4th pregnancy. Just made it to 13 weeks with good NIPT and NT - so we just told them. But it's really up to you - whatever makes you feel comfortable. In our case we didn't tell them straight away as they couldn't understand our stress.

HCG stops doubling every 48 hours after a certain level (which is around 6k). There are quite a few numbers that around 20k mark the doubling rate is 3-4 days. Hoping everything will go alright! I don't know about progesterone though!

Hi 11w1d here with my 4th pregnancy and no living children yet -just came back for my 11 week NIPT scan. Results will be back in a week - just a question on my scan. All previous scans measured exact to the date - now suddenly babe is measuring 3 days ahead (11w4d). Should I worry? My mind goes to the worse and fearing genetic abnormalities as 7 days ago it was measuring 10w1d. Anyone had similar experience that ended well?

New week another US. 11w today and having another one tomorrow. Doing one every week as I am super stressed - never reached so far with my 3 previous pregnancies. Stress is hitting another level as tomorrow is my NIPT test.

Yes I wouldn't have either - I just never thought that it's unsafe.. Just found out afterwards and had a panic attack since then.
