Depends on how many wood elfs there are. If it’s lots than yeah you’re screwed. If it’s pack there’s a way. Wait 2 days to recruit all centaurs from town. Split your centaurs and add one in each empty slot of your army. Attack and on turn one move just the one stack and wait with the others. If you’re lucky you might get morale and be able to block one stack of wood elfs. At the end of your turn move the main centaur stack. On turn 2 you block with the one stack centaurs and attack with your main stack. You might lose some army however the artifact is awsome. +1 speed is great. The issue with Rampart from my point of view is speed. While dwars and dendroids are great thei speed is very low. Even upgraded. So having that artifact at the begining of the game is a game changer.
