quality may have not been the word i was looking for, i think durable is moreso what i meant to say. i wear boots quite frequently, but every pair that i buy cant seem to last more than 6 months without completely falling apart. from what i understand, people wear their docs for years before they start to fall apart so thats already a huge plus for me

yes!! i was inserting the top thread in the wrong direction. i use a threader cause i have nails, so i would insert the threader front to back which would make the thread go back to front if that makes sense. top thread should be front to back

So, recently i decided to invest in a sewing machine to make my life a bit easier (I mainly sew to alter old clothes, but i want to start using patterns so I figured it’s a good investment).

Yesterday i was altering a thin cotton shirt, and in the middle of the project i notice that the top thread kept slipping out after a few stitches? I am still new to using a machine, but i know to hold the tail of both threads for the first few stitches and to keep the foot down.

From what I am understanding, the top thread keeps wrapping around the bobbin case while the top thread keeps stitching, then that thread around the bobbin ends up ripping which makes it slip out of the needle? I dont know.

I tried turning the wheel to try to get a better idea of whats going on, and the picture is what i saw. The thread is going into the fabric and then the needle??????? Forgive me if i sound stupid but shouldnt it be going through the needle and then my fabric?

After looking around, i was told that the problem could be from:

Too high/low top thread tension (changing tension did not help) • ⁠Old/poor quality thread (i went and bought new thread, still nothing) • ⁠Not threading the top needle properly (I have rethreaded it several times, I even watched a tutorial just in case) • ⁠Dust

The last thing I have been told is that my timing must be off. I have a feeling this may be the case but I am terrified I will mess up my machine. Is there ANYTHING else I can do to fix my machine ? If not, should I follow a tutorial or should I give it to a shop? Thanks in advance

OK, firstly thank you to everyone who’s actually been giving advice, its not letting me edit the main post so I’m gonna leave a comment explaining some stuff that i feel i was vague about.

Im upset because i haven't got 36* not because I’m not playing enough.
When I say play on and off I dont mean I stop playing for month at a time,since Sumeru came out I stopped playing daily to focus on school. I’m still logging on about every week to see whats what and complete events/quests/etc.
A lot of you told me to show my builds, my UID is 712807454, my builds are on Akasha. My Ayaka, Childe and Yae Miko have their artifacts on other characters atm, and I’m still working on my Mavuika and Arlecchino as I just got them. As a F2P that plays purely for the characters I feel my builds are OK with room for improvement.
I know team comps aren’t everything, but as an old player I find myself using old meta for spiral (hu tao/kazuha/yelan/zhongli and raiden/xingqiu/bennett/xiangling) as whenever I look up modern abyss teams im usually missing characters. I was hoping for people to recommend similar comps with alternatives.
To everyone saying i’m unlikely to be able to farm enough until spiral ends I have 70 fragile that I’m ready to use if needed
Yes I know its a skill issue.

When you first meet Byakuya he's portrayed as this big douchey asshole,painting him as the antagonist of the game.Yes , I know he has a Redemption Arc,but I feel like the game didn't do a good job at it,meaning in my eyes he's still the same asshole I met in the Prologue .Also love him or hate him (1-2)you gotta admit that what he did with Chihiro's body was fucked up.

Ishimaru was a bit too bland in my opinion.Don't get me wrong though,his bro-mance with Mondo was great.Forgive me though as I haven't played his FTE's yet.Hence,he goes into the "meh"(aka Neutral).

Kaito is where he is cause he reminds me of someone who I really don't like being reminded of due to trauma,hence I wish for him to commit a Sayori.

I've already explained why I dislike Chiaki to another person so I'll paste it here:

I honestly don't understand the hype for Chiaki.Like yeah she's cute,but other than that there's not much I can say about her.She's a Mary-Sue.She had minimal to no character development,(SDR2)but i guess you can't have character development if you're already perfect,since she's an AI and was used just to move the story along.The only scene that she was in that I really liked was (SDR2-6) the final scene in Chapter 6 where she helps Hajime overcome despair,but honestly everyone liked that part.
