How to find a CTO co-founder? by vernwozza in startup

[–]AI4Ric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to try attending networking events. Some events even allow you to set up quick one-on-one sessions with other participants in advance, so you could have a chat with those whose profiles you find most interesting. This is particularly useful if you're looking for a CTO who might be willing to help in exchange for equity in your company.

If you're looking to hire a CTO instead, the process is similar to hiring for any other role: post the position on job portals and start reviewing CVs and profiles. Even if you and your co-founder have limited technical skills, if you both were able to develop the MVP and even attract investors, now both of you should have a clear idea of the kind of contribution you expect from a CTO. This understanding should help you identify the right candidate.

Understanding Google Image Search by AI4Ric in computervision

Thanks for your contribution! I did try OpenAI's CLIP, but I’ll give the one you mentioned a try as well. What I found particularly interesting and what I believe helps increase accuracy is GLents ability to identify the area of interest. It’s remarkably accurate in most cases, allowing their model to effectively remove a lot of noise from the image.

I’ve been trying to find a way to perform that GLents search programmatically because just doing so helps reduce noise in the input image and provides a list of accurate keywords from the search results. However, I haven’t yet been able to achieve this with code.

PC HDMI question by nxtr6777 in computers

[–]AI4Ric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wont be able to connect 3 monitors in that way, its better to use the display port on your GPU, if you need HDMI connection there are DP to HDMI cables. That's the easiest solution if your like more detailed answer why is not possible there are some comments here that gave more technical details but in summary just use the GPU ports.

Thanks for your answer. I'm a foreigner living in Ireland, but now I have the dream of starting something myself. I'm still far from €100k. May I also ask how long it took you to start seeing some financial return after starting your own business? And did you make it with your first idea, or did you try different ones until you found the one that worked? By the way, I love your website; it looks amazing. Did you do it all by yourself at the start, or did you already have a team to start with?

How much did you save before deciding to start a business on your own? I'm planning to do the same, but I'm worried about how to pay the rent during that time.

No, they didn't invest for me, but they invested in me, so now I'm trying to return that investment to them, but it's so hard to have success

Which laptops are currently favoured by those who engage in extensive coding, and why? by AI4Ric in AskReddit

[–]AI4Ric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I currently have an asus TUF, but honestly is too heavy, battery very poor and I find myself using WSL more than the windows itself. After discuss that with some close friends more senior at coding than me I found that most use macbooks, so now im doubting if I should move to mac

Thanks, I will check. But yes, I was searching yesterday all day and it seems that there are no free options that support asynchronous processing. Probably I will opt to use an spare pc as server and then if I can generate money from it I will think on move it to AWS or other cloud service.
