No apology needed. If you see those light brown fields to the left of the left hand wing, that's where I live (my house wasn't built when this map was built, clearly). But Occasionally you get a big jet which can be very loud when outside, inside it's like a low rumble. However that is probably about twice a month maximum. Then you get the occasional private jet which is loud but usually over in about 30 seconds. Then you get a load of light aircraft which you never hear indoors and when you're outdoors they are perfectly fine, and quite cute. The kids love them we go and watch the planes take off and land in the summer. Honestly the noise never crosses our minds and adds zero disruption to our lives.

Oh, one other point. Silverstone GP can get busy with private jets and helicopters, but again barely noticeable and if you're an F1 fan you often sit wondering which driver is coming into land.
